There are seven (7!) hammer points at the Workshop House in Sanctuary (I swear to the Ford, the Corvega, and the Pontiac that they are there to make people hate the idea of assigning idles).
1 & 2) These are behind the house, against the wall with the melons. 3) Going clockwise, this one's by the leaning doorway-panel. 4) This one's around the corner, in the front of the house before you reach the entranceway. 5 & 6) These are at the Carport and at the wall next to the weapons workstation. 7) This last one is inside the house by the partially collapsed shelving section.
There's also that spot Preston stands at all the damn time once you're back from that first settlement, but the guard idle is much, much less annoying.
Hahaha, because I'm the one that asked you about the previsibines on the original mod page and you ended up doing all this work in the CK and then I find out I was wrong (from other commenters) and so, yeah, felt a tad responsible for you doing all this. :/
OH ITS ALL GOOD lol honestly i found that out too but now i know how to rebuild the precombs for any thing i do from here on, so im happy you did for real lol.
Yay! It's always good to learn best practices for things. I'm in awe of you people that can do that. I may know what has to be done, but I have no idea how to do it myself hehe. Right now I'm building a Horizon play as I've not played Horizon since the early days of 1.8 and wanted to try 1.9. I'm sure there's going to be some patching for yours as Zawinul does make changes to the settlements, but hey, now I'll be learning something new!
I am on a fresh run through the game and had just (~2hours ago) cleaned Sanctuary. I tried your REDUX mod but no joy - once that tire is gone it seems adding the mod does nothing.
Could there be a holotape, aid item, or a Mod Configuration Menu to activate your mod? Even console commands would be fine.
The hammering and idling are such an annoyance, thank you for working on this game issue!
i will have it going hopefully tommorow on both xbox and here this one was my first and i know exactly what to do now to fix it thanks for trying it out and let me know
This definitely stops the hammering, but NPCs still in the garage. Xbox, tried new save and existing one. Same result. Stops the hammering at least lol.
I went back to Animations Be Gone (on Xbox). Found that works better than most Sanctuary marker removal mods I've tried.
Occasionally you might get one sitting idle marker still active, but doesn't happen often.
Seems most of these issues can be save dependant too. I've had it where either all idle markers are gone or only one remains, across many new starts using ABG. Never more than one, though. Weird that.
Also, load order plays a huge part. I make sure ABG is near the bottom, in World Edits (because it works there, rather than in Vanilla Settlement Changes) and below any scrapping mod.
dude thanks so much for your info and im currently working on it now waiting on the forsaken creation kit to decide it wants to work and i will fix the one on bethesda as soon as i get it fixed, i was actually in a slump and kinda glad this came up, i hit the little milestone just a few days ago and well i am just glad i gotta jump back in starfield can take a break lol
It's all good! We have to do whatever we need to at the time. Breaks are important and absolutely necessary to keep going forward.
Also mods are free, made using people's own time and effort. Can't really complain too much about it, when you consider that we're getting something for nothing lol.
I love the idea of the markers being tied to that particular tyre though. Sometimes if you're feeling like being punished, you can choose to keep it there without having to uninstall another mod and reinstall your entire LO (due to Xbox ghost data issues).
All in good time and glad you're feeling better. 😄
It's been fixed now both here and on nexus i uploaded a whole nother mod just in case updating the existing one had issues and it didn't so they both work now just the same and have been ported and updated on Bethesda as well so sorry for the trouble and thanks for your patience.
Thank you for your work. I'm sure you're busy, but I appreciate you taking the time to come back and make sure the mod is perfect. I already enjoyed it as it was. Thank you again!
Hello! I appreciate you taking the time to make this mod. I have added it to my game, but it is not working. I had already deleted the tire that you said triggered the mod before installing this mod. I have not tried using it on a new game though. So maybe it will work then.
hello it should be set up to work even if its deleted already if not let me know I WILL fix it for you also there is another mod on my page that does the same thing without the tire ordeal this one was requested but the other one will work as it deletes the markers from the beginning so give that one a try https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/73445
Thank you for your response. Although the tire had already been deleted before I installed this mod it did not work mid game. I continued to play for several more hours and went back and forth to Sanctuary. The Garvey crew continued to hammer so I disabled this mod and installed your original mod. That one worked perfectly even mid game. No issues so far. Thanks again for your mod.

I installed the mod, but don't have any settlers yet, but I can still see the idle markers in workshop mode

I feel so horrible about this...
