IMPORTANT -  PLEASE READ IF YOU HAVE ALREADY DOWNLOADED VERSION 1.0 OF THIS MOD

With version 1.1 I have updated the mod to be marked as light (it's still a .ESP file but will now be marked as a .ESL file when downloaded). This means it will no longer take up a slot in your load order and thus will not count towards the ESP limit of 255. Any future updates to the mod will be uploaded in this format as well. This means that if you have downloaded version 1.0, I would recommend uninstalling that version and installing the most recently uploaded version as soon as possible as any future updates made will not be compatible with the older version.

To safely install the new version:
    1. Remove any effects from existing weapons i.e. ones in your inventory or in containers, given to companions etc.
    2. Make a hard save and quit the game
    3. Uninstall the mod
    4. Boot up the game and load the save you just made (It will say it depends on a mod that no longer exists - this won't be an issue if you've removed all traces of everything the mod adds)
    5. Make a new hard save and quit the game
    6. Install the latest, updated version of the mod

You should now be good to go! You'll have to add the legendary effects back of course, but this should now mean that you can safely download any future updates without issue.

How about using RobCo patcher for the different ammo types? it might also work for Munitions and Munitions Extended.

That could potentially work, I'm not sure, I'd have to look into it. Regardless, I've recently immigrated and my computer is currently in bits back home so I won't be able to work on the mod for a while unfortunately.

So, I want to use this mod, but there is a hiccup at the moment.

I am using the version that adds the Legendary modifications to a LVL list, but LOOT returns this warning:

"This plugin contains records that have FormIDs outside the valid range for an ESL Plugin. Using this plugin will cause irreversible damage to your game saves."

I am going to head the app's advice and ask if it's possible for the modowner to fix this bug and deploy a new file with the fix? Or if someone has permission - can they fix this as well?

I will use the version that doesn't distribute the Legendary effects to a LVL list, and see if I get anything different.

    Thank you for read this!

Thank you for pointing this out. I opened the mod in FO4Edit and I've found the problem. After I converted the mod to ESL, I added a few new forms in the next update I made but forgot to convert their form IDs to be ESL compatible. That being said, I have the mod in my own load order and I've not had any issues, nor has anyone else by the look of it but it could potentially be a problem if you're near the ESP limit. You may be alright to ignore the error message, although as always I'd recommend making a backup of your save file folder just in case. If you wanted to fix it yourself, it should be as simple as compacting the form IDs again in the creation kit. After you're done with that just make sure to use a save file that was made before you originally installed the mod and you should be fine. I'll try to look into uploading a fix myself tomorrow if I get the time.

Thank you! I appreciate this response and that you're taking care of this!

I used both mods and they seem to have returned to same warning, so they both may need to be fixed.

Ah, I see. Thankfully I hadn't used it yet since I was doing some maintenance to make sure the mods I had for the run had maximum compatibility, it was only until I added this mod and ran LOOT did I see the warning.

I would very much like to use it, and I can safely go without it until the fix has been administered~

Hey, take the time for yourself, work on and release the work you like to share when you're ready. :)

      Have a blessed day!

Just updated the download, the problem should be fixed now. I changed the IDs of the forms returning errors and I'm no longer getting an error message in FO4Edit so you should be good to go. Let me know if it all works.

    I'd love a non-craftable version, I like feeling lucky

That's understandable. The main reason I didn't make a version without crafting is because I didn't want to upload and maintain an additional file that I didn't think many people would want anyway. You can of course just ignore the option to craft them but if you really wanted the option gone you could open the mod in FO4 edit and delete everything under the constructible object header, which would leave legendary enemies as the only way of acquiring the effects.

A great addition to the pool of legendary effects but agreed. I stopped using Legendary Modifications and AWKCR ages ago in favor of ECO's features.

Glad you're enjoying the effects! I know not everyone likes using AWKCR because of the amount of bloat it adds which is understandable, I just figured most people would already have it installed. To be honest, I think the only effect that makes use of AWKCR is Frugal because it uses keywords attached to weapon forms that associate the weapon with the ammo it uses. If there's enough of a demand I will add the keywords to the forms as part of my mod which should eliminate the need for AWKCR. An even better solution would be implementing this effect through a script that checks the ammo type but as I said on the main page I'm not quite sure how to do that yet, so until then keywords will have to do!

Hey bro.. don't know if its a bug or not so I didn't post on the bug section. I downloaded your mod choosing the no levelled list option manually (so I can scan for installation errors) and installed it manually via Mod organizer 2.. and it installed okay. but I already have 627 mods in active so I have to use "R88_eslify" its a tool using FO4Edit that esl flags all esp plugins to expand the esp plugin capacity of fo4 beyond 250 plugin limit upto 2,000+ plugins. I need to use this tool everytime I install a new mod so to avoid glitches during the game like having bald hair and missing  structures that I've already built.. this happens when you already hit the 250 esp plugin limit and its a bethesda thing.  with the tool though I can go way beyond that limit. so to cut the story short when I loaded your mod to the load order and run R88_eslify while scanning through my 600+ plugins via fo4 edit a warning pops out. saying that:

and your mod is in the last and final reading of fo4 edit since it was loaded recently. because fo4 edit skips mods that are already flagged previously. and reads the recently uploaded mod last. and if successful will ask the user if he/she is willing to continue flagging the esp to esl or revert back all other plugins back to esp flagged. then finish. obviously I did not get the expected result.

so I didn't proceed to play to see if what will it do with this error in-game. I uninstalled because believe me when I say that having 627 mods in active I've already been through a lot of weird bugs and glitches that needs fixing the load order, plugin sorting and converting, and its a pain in the @$$. so I didn't take the risk... last time my game got screwed is with a mod "cabin living" it wrecked 34 hours of gaming save file.. it worked until I decide its not worth to keep so I scrapped all the cabin and I uninstalled it since I think it's not useful to my setup.. but goodness me it destroyed the workshop settler assignment. and I just face palmed and repaired the damage.. I've spend more time modding the game than actually playing it. I only finished one playthrough. now I'm at survival starting point and setting up my mods to fit the survival mode. I just wanna let you know that your mod has this weird error on fo4 edit so to help you improve your mod since  its fairly new and I would have really wanted it on my mod load list. having 18 more legendary option is sweet but I can't risk it.. I'm sorry I had to point this out but I think this is for you to further improve your mod I'm not criticizing nor demanding. thanks.

Hey there. Thanks for downloading the mod and bringing this to me. I'm sorry it's been giving you grief. I completely understand not wanting to mess up your save so no worries there. I considered looking into uploading an ESL version myself, but decided against it for the same reason; I didn't want to mess up other people's saves. I've downloaded the mod myself with Vortex (so that I'm not just using the original mod from my PC) which has a similar feature to R88_eslify and when it's installed, it doesn't get flagged as "could be light" as some other mods do. I'm not entirely sure why this is as the mod isn't anywhere near the maximum record limit that ESL files are required to be below but I would assume there's a reason for it. Whether or not I can do something about it is another matter but as I've mentioned previously I'm fairly new to modding and the last thing I want to do is ruin other people's games. I'll try making an ESL version myself in xEdit and I'll get back to you.

Your plugins already come with the ESL-flag applied.

Edit: I just read your stickied post. It didn't came to my mind that you already made that change since the file version still says 1.0. You might want to increase that number so that users who already downloaded the original v1.0 are made aware (get notified) that a changed has happened.

The original files that savagan downloaded didn't have those flags. I've just uploaded updated versions that come with the ESL flag shortly before you commented, which would be the versions you would have downloaded, assuming you have. Nice to see you here by the way!

Edit: That's a good point, I'll do that right away. The only reason I left the the version number the same was because nothing about the mod itself was changing but you're right, it's a change that those it will affect should know about. Thanks!
