Can this be done by adding animated climbable ladders by neheer (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/64868), and somehow keep the transition instead of a teleport/fade to black?
EDIT: So basically the doors have some power and the shaft is a transfer sell, with a climbable ladder.
I mean both. PC walks into the shaft. They have ladders up to a ledge, where they need to climb around, maybe jump. Behind the scenes, half-way up, the cell transfers. This gives the illusion that the transition is seamless.
The seamless transfer - or lack thereof - makes the difference between FAllotu, Starfield, and more modern games (even GTAV). Powered elevators don't make sense, but at least it saves a load screen.
I was thinking that a system could be created wherein anytime a player goes from exterior to interior or vice versa, Instead of a load screen, an image of the door just after the PC went through.
Hi, I have one simple question: In this mod's current state, is it possible to access all the edited areas without resorting to power armor or jetpacks?
Also: Would you allow a port to be made to xbox with all the credits and accolades?
What's keeping me from installing this at this point is I almost never play with PA. It's a hard bargain if the only way to proceed with certain quests is with PA.
I have no idea :'D I' m slightly drunk atm. I'm just remembering quests being dependent on you being able to reach certain floors etc. Just thinking there should be a method regardless of PA in all cases. I love this mod though because I abhor the everythingispowered logic applied to the whole game. When I'm able, I'll play Dark Commonwealth.
Same thing bothers me with terminals. If the area is completely abandoned they should all be dead and you might have the possibility to repair them with science skills buI I just hate that there's functional ones around every corner.
I truly wish we get a final version of this mod sometime since I absolutely love it, but I also dont play with power armor, rendering many locations unacessible (ex. Boylston club). I would need a stairs or rope implementation of some sort, preferably one that doesnt rely on scripts and keep things simple.
Yes we will have a final version soon. What i need is a list of locations where you will want to see a rope, ladder, makeshift elevator workaround to elevate.
All of these 3 will not see a ladder. Im curious if i ever been able to add an activator with a quest which requires a certain item to unlock a door transition. Alternatively, i could add some kind of rope attachment point, which works similar to a door sequence, technically is a locked door, which can be unlocked by key (rope) which in turn will force a door transition (teleportation) to the upper/lower level.
Im a fan of the simple activator, like a static rope object that just teleport me to the other end. I dont really mind having animations for this stuff, but anything's better than an actual elevator.
You mean like, a suggestion of a perk to be able to use the activators? Havent really thought about it. Maybe simply being able to craft a misc item called "rope" in the chembench would be sufficient for immersion purposes.
I got to the Weston water treatment plant yesterday. I opened the elevator and looked into the shaft. To jump or not to jump, that is the question. I had one more level to activate so I jumped in and bam, I couldn't open the door. I looked up from where Heather and the dog were looking at me. With the Dark Commonwealth mod, I didn't even know what kind of lock was there, which is realistic, so I just prayed that activating the next level of Locksmith perk would be enough for me. Guess what happened. I love mods like this and this one is one of the most realistic on Nexus.
of course ;) it is a major mechanic in DC, but i need todo some more testing, since currently the vanilla elevator group has been moved and replaced by non-interactable statics. the game can be tricked to use the vanilla objects without letting PC to interact with them.

We need to do some ingame test. When i have the time i will add the ladders and play around with the animations.
What i can also think of is to add some ropes, and an invisible transition marker (fake door) to elevate.

Thanks!
Then again, Im not sure if thats what you mean.
