How do i access this mod in game... I have no way of getting to the customisation screen for thsi mod. I have it all installed but have 0 way of accesing it its there but where? is it in Misc? setting? where is it
Hello! I love the mod. :D However, I want to request a minor tweak beyond my skill. I would *love* if a setting could be attached to the AP Cost thresholds.
The setting: For example, if you happen to have enough AP, you can block 100% damage from a Super Mutant! But if you do not have enough AP then you only block 50% damage. This would allow a skilled melee fighter to manage AP and timing, and at least fend off a Super Mutant if they were skilled enough, while still making them significantly more deadly than other combatants.
I've noticed this and quite a few other recent Zzyxzz mods that could be ESL/ESPFE are not. Since Zzyxzz has been around for a long time and made ESL/ESPFE mods before, I'm wondering if there's a reason why these new, tiny plugins are flagged to use full ESP slots?
Probably an oversight or some reasoning that they believe they have to, but it's not necessary. I commented on their Grenade Timer Overhaul mod as well, as they assumed Game Setting record changes require a full ESP, but can be any plugin type and still works just fine... In the words of Todd Howard: "It Just Works"
Is there a possibility to make blocking in fallout 4 much like in the older games? Like you can hold your melee weapon to block but gradually drains your AP
i second, 3rd, and 4th this, fallout 4's timed blocking is horrible and the iframes don't even start until the block animation is halfway done. I hate the riot shield mod because it's also horrible.
People have the capacity to actually fix Fallout 4's dogshit melee combat but they keep making the wrong mods.
I have no experience with animating etc. So this is something, I currently can not do. I hope that this mod is a encouragement for other authors to finally give melee in Fallout 4 more love. The biggest issue is now gone and we can have a fluent melee combat experience.
THIS! 1000 times this! Please for the love of all that is good in gaming do this. Hold block to block. Why would this not be a thing. A timed blocked should be rewarded.
If I hold block I should continue to block. I dont even think it needs to drain AP. It dosent in real life. Holding a weapon in an aggressive or defensive stance takes the same energy. Its only the act of attacking or blocking that is a large exertion of energy.
A timed block however, Thats a parry! Maybe it stuns the enemy, draines more of their AP or even uses less of your AP to block. Either way Bethesda really dropped the ball on this.
Zzyxzz, Thank you for your mod. It is a step in the right direction and a nice improvement from vanilla. I hope others may see this and work on doing what Bethesda should have from the start.
It exists in a mod and it's predecessor called something like "The Real solution to melee combat" but it's bundled with a bunch of other features that I personally don't care for.
Hello sir, I love your take on the blocking system! Fallout really needed to be refreshed about it. I was wondering if you ever thought about adding a framework that would allow rifles to block as well ? been looking around for a mod like this recently and I was surprised to see no one has ever considered the idea! Anyway, thanks for the work ! Have a good day!

The same would apply for all other tiers as well!

I wish it could be made as a standalone part.
