Hey man, Thank you for the mod! I just started using QCA and am trying to integrate it with your Vtaw and DonEb14n sorting mods. Just to make sure, I just copy the tags to FIS (FallUI Item Sorter).xml. I don't have to do anything to QCA's Conf.xml correct? Below are screenshots of where I pasted the tags:
Yes, just copy/paste the tags below the 'tagsiconLibraryFile' in the FIS XML. And yes, you don't need to do anything with QCA's conf.xml, I already did that. Just make sure the XML from my mod is below QCA in your load order and that it overwrites the XML from that mod.
Can someone please tell my dumbass how and why the icons could be missing. like is there a setting in the complex sorter that i forgot to apply? completely new to modding fo4edit or rather fo4 in gen too so its most likely a simple fix im just not seeing...
Do you have the mkh97IconLib.swf and mkh97IconLib.xml files installed in Interface > ItemSorter > FIS > TagConfiguration.Addons? There is an option in the FOMOD installer to not install these because they are also included in my other sorting mod. Maybe you might have selected that option by accident?
got it to work because of your suggestions tyvm! SC And I very much appreciate your hard work in making our lives easier using both your item sorter and preview meshes is such a time saver! Endorsing both <3
My suggestion is to set all Vtaw clothes as the main category, and set the other 1-9 as sub-categories. If the armor menu is all Vtaw, the classification is of no use. There is too much content, and I can't only use Vtaw clothes.
I agree very much with your suggestion. I would have done it this way if it was possible. Unfortunately, it isn't. FIS can't do this.
Some time ago, I did ask the author of FIS if they plan to add sub-categories to FIS and they said: "It's not planned, but it could be an interesting feature. So i won't say it will never be available. Maybe in some future version."
Does the complex sorter version work if I merge vtaw's wardrobe mods into a single esp with Z-Edit? I've been trying to merge all my armor mods cause they take too many slots. I'm not seeing the new categories in the pip boy menu or the QCA menu. The new categories showed up in the trader menus, but vtaw's items aren't in them. I ran complex sorter after the merge and I'm using ECO.
No, it won't work in that case (as you've found out).
My Complex Sorter plugin will only add tags to the clothing from Vtaw's ESPs. But if you make a new .ini file, give it the same name as your merged plugin, copy/paste the tags from the .inis from my mod into your own, then run the sorter again, it might work.
For example, if you open the VtawWardrobe9.ini in the Rules (Mods) folder and copy/paste all the tags and rules from there into your own .ini and then put your .ini in the same folder.
But I don't think it'll work if the EditorIDs (EDID) have been changed. For example, my .inis will look for EDID equals Vtaw_WD9Top1, but if the Vtaw_WD9Top1 has been changed then it can't find it. Though if you change the EDID equals to EDID contains it might also work.
I'll have to double check, but I don't think the EditorIDs get messed with when you merge, only the FormIDs. That's why I thought it would work. I'll try out what you suggested with the ini files. I didn't know the inis needed to have the same names as the esps. Thanks for the info
Thanks for the mod you saved me countless hours getting VTAW outfits to work with QCA properly.
Edit: If your game ends up crashing on launch and not even getting a buffout error you might be using Favorites Menu EX and that mod does not like anything else messing with FIS.
Sorry, I'm absolutely wrong. I installed Vtaw 9 and re-added the tags to FIS XML and back to the game not launching. After trial and error removing sections of tags, Buffout finally spit out a crash log. The culprit was Favorites Menu EX. That mod apparently uses FIS Icons and adding too many Icons and tags into the FIS XML file makes it spit errors and prevent everything else from loading. I have removed that mod and everything is working perfectly. Sorry to have to posted false information.
Yes, my mod does add a lot of tags. There is a unique tag for almost all of the clothing (I think some of the clothing from Wardrobe 8 is the only exception). I don't think I'll be changing this as it would require me to undo/delete hours and hours of copy/paste work.
It's a mod I've been working on. Almost done with creating preview meshes for Wardrobe 8 and have slowly started working on Wardrobe 9. Not sure if I can upload it, as it uses Vtaw's meshes, I just made some changes to them. I have tried to ask Vtaw for permission before (I mentioned it in a comment below) but did not get an answer.
I think the BodySlide presets and the cubemaps from Vtaw's mods are the same, so you don't really need to worry about them conflicting. They are just included in case someone is not using all of Vtaw's mods.
So just download Vtaw's mods and install them with your mod manager. The load order for them doesn't really matter.

Anyways thank you again! This mod is the tits!
