I cannot for the life of me to get this to work as well, I know my issue has to do with Place Everywhere and not the tile mod itself (besides it not giving me the "50" up front tokens.
I love the idea of this mod and would like to try it out for myself. I am running into a problem however where the interface to place the tiles doesn't pop up when I press C (or mouse 5). Whenever I kill something I do receive another token. Does someone have a fix for this problem?
P.S. I have downloaded all the dependencies and requirements first and downloaded this mod last. In the plugin order I've set the tilemod to load as the last mod.
About number of starting tiles, I saw the message '50 tile tokens added' when I started the game, in prologue. But in build mode right then (C key works) it shows 0. In vault 111 though you correctly get tokens for kills so there's 13. For now I guess we have to add them manually through console ('help "tile token" 4' to get the id, and 'player.additem <id> 100' to get 100). Also don't forget to use PlaceEverywhere's switches to make tile placement easier (F1 toggles object snap, F2 surface snap), disabling them can help place tiles exactly how you want
Starts me out with like 13 tiles, not 50. Have to manually add what I need, although 50 isn't nearly enough to get you anywhere. 100 tiles barely gets you outside of Sanctuary. Wish there were more options, like killing enemies gives 2 tiles instead, maybe leaving the tiles causes +1 rads/second or an explanation on how to edit the mod to do that. Otherwise, interesting concept.
Since the tiles are in the workshop "kind of" could you possibly make some slanted tiles at different angles? Same size as the regular tiles but varying degrees of vertical slants so you can more easily run up and down the tiles. Along with this could you possible make it so the times must snap to each other so you cant have large gaps between them?
Also could you make a version of this for both fallout 3 and new vegas?
Did you install the required mods before trying to install this mod? Which mod manager did you try to use? Did you try to do it manually? Give more information.
yes, i installed the [consile util] had Place everywhere already then installed this using vortex. I can see the starting 13 tokens in my inventory but I don't seem to get more when I get a kill. or the tile counter like in the Jabos vid. and have f4se
Running into the same issue. Have all the required addons/plugins, but don't have the UI element and kills don't increase how many tiles I have. Also can't place objects outside of workshop areas but think that's most likely a setting issue with Place Everywhere
EDIT: Not sure exactly -what- fixed the issue, to be honest. Final thing was deleted my previous tile save and starting a new one. Hit C on the way to running to the vault and menu opened w/o issue. Previous save I couldn't get the menu to open up to begin with. Was only able to place tiles down via standard workshop. Had to run to Sanctuary w/o tiles and open it there, then I could put them down but not outside of normal settlement boundaries.
