Added this mod because the size element was broken. It just increased every time I scraped a weapon from the floor. Now though I have a pointless "size" wiget every time I enter build mode. Much less annoying but I'm a bit of a perfectionist. Any one know a mod that I can use to remove said wiget? Or even a mod that fixes the bug from vanilla?
I have a question: If I install this mod with Vortex and build a settlement without restrictions, will turning off the mod later cause any bugs or problems in the game, especially with saved data?
It's very possible that depending on how aggressive you built that settlement that you might not even get the save game to load if you remove this. It will default to the original limitations - which you'd have already obviously exceeded.
The real question is why you'd want to do that (turn it off after building) in the first place.
To be honest, I don't plan on turning off the mod after building. I asked this just in case I need to uninstall and reinstall the game in the future, and I might forget to install this mod again.
Just remember most F4SE mods work this way. If they change something it's not permanent, so if the F4SE mod is removed the game reverts to the original data it was otherwise changing. Helpful to know since there are a lot of F4SE mods out there.
not sure if it's SKK Workshop Utilities or Settlement of Unlimited Size but make sure they are both loaded before PRP in load order or objects will disappear in front of you at settlements!
EDIT: SKK author told me that this wouldn't have this effect, so it's def this mod - SoUS needs to be loaded BEFORE PRP
This seems to be the most recent mod of its class, compared to others. However, I can see this mod leading me to a point of breaking the game because of unmetered usage.
I like how the mod, workshop frame work, allows you to increase and decrease the limit in intervals, but I do not like that mod's script bloat. It has great features, but I do not use Sim Settlements, which that mod caters to.
Unfortunately, I've not been able to find a fair compromise. Honestly, I'd probably settle for a current mod that doubles the limit — if anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.
this is what ive been using but im thinking about switching over to this mod because when you upgrade the build limit you cant upgrade again without uninstall reinstalling
I personally use the Cheat Terminal to change size- it has a function to X2 and /2 all workshop sizes. Affects all so no picking and choosing, but majorly helpful and very very accessible.
Kinda midrange rig here - 3060ti and six core i5, I went the heaviest on sanctuary, though still light compared to several builds I've seen. At the worst I was getting around 25-35fps at the far end facing the entirety of the settlement, but I'm also using a 2k diffuse/1k normal standard for my textures so. Your mileage may vary, just exercise caution, make a hard save, console in resources to use and experiment.
