Currently the ratio of broken power armor pieces is 1 in 3. DA's broken weapon system usually does 1 in 4, but I found that this often leads to ALL the PA pieces more often being broken. I don't want to make looting un-fun so I lowered the chance for broken pieces, but I might release a more "scarce" version if people want it (once I get everything working first).
Really cool how this mod works. Pairs super well with S.P.A.R.S.
Upon boarding the Prydwen, i discovered all those power armor sets in the mechanic bay have mostly broken pieces. cosmetically / visually the frames look intact, but going to loot them tells a completely different story.
And it makes sense - i mean, they're in for repairs!
Slight issue I just found with Power Armor to the People: Legendary power armor pieces gained from legendary enemies can spawn as broken. Learned this from finding a broken x-01 leg on a random legendary raider.
Is this an issue with my load order, or an unforeseen consequence of the mod?
Without knowing your load order Im not 100% certain, but i think this is just a consequence with the mod unfortunately as far as I'm aware. Would have to double the LLs in the mod for every power armor piece to differentiate between legendary and non legendary pieces to ensure legendary pieces are guaranteed intact; but not something I'm really interested in doing with the mod. I think it'd create an imbalance of rates of legendaries spawning.
If you wanted you could go into xEdit and remove the legendary chance in the LLs, but that would also remove the chance for intact legendary PA pieces to spawn. You're also free to mess around with this mod to your heart's content to get it to how you like it. This is just my personal preference.
I'd also recommend using ECO redux so you can remove, move, and craft legendary effects on armor, PA and weapons. That way you can work your way to getting the legendaries you want in a different way.
So quick question, are natural power armor frames supposed to be able to spawn with broken pieces? I can't find any way to get the broken pieces for scrap when they spawn on frames without npcs.
Been awhile since I did anything with this mod. If I remember correctly it only works on frames that NPCs are wearing because those are the only levelled lists it effects. I'd have to double check but don't think it really does anything to empty existing PA frames.
Hello, I'm confused about the PAttP Raider Overhaul. I need both the original RO patch and the 4est RO patch right? Apologies, I'm not certain, since the former says you're working on a patch. Thank you very much for all the work!
If you use the Raider Overhaul that PAttP has a patch for, use the regular Broken RO patch. If you use 4est's Raider Overhaul, use the Broken PA 4est RO patch.
I don't think using both would mess anything up but haven't looked into how they would interact so can't say for sure.
Thanks for these mods, they help a great deal to temper a PAttP run. The Settler Power Armor file seems to be looking for the wrong master. Either that or the requirements are linking to the wrong Settler Power Armor.
Could you maybe make a fomod installer like for example See Through Scopes has, that comes with all the patches and automatically detects which mods we are using?
I'm still waiting on the Black Devil mod author to respond to my message (the last permission I'm waiting on actually). It's been over a month so I wouldn't count on it at this point.
I might go back and do the esp/esl versions of mods (for the ones that have both plugin types) but also why not just use the esl version? Why must you demand I go back to the xEdit mines and stare at lines and lines of levelled lists? (I am joking btw).
Well I hoped you would be less lazy than I am :D No idea tbh why I use the esp version at this point but I have several patches and stuff depend on it xD
Not too sad if Ultracite won't break, because I haven't been able to find it on any opponent yet anyway.
Uploaded the Black Devil patch. Never got permission from the author but the permissions are open so I gave it enough time I think. Next item on the list is the FOMOD installer. I've never made one before but hopefully won't be too challenging.
Only the intact pieces you find. The broken pieces are misc items which are not equippable (because they're junk items in the misc tab of the inventory), and the NPC only versions cannot be looted or seen in the inventories of NPCs by the player.
Im using "Some Assembly Required" mod, which changes all existing power armors that you find in the world, so that now you only find low level BROKEN pieces locked in trunks. and you gotta buy frames from vendors. The problem with "some Assembly required" is that its very old and abandoned mod, but still works, and I havent played enough to come across the bugs that many people have reported with that mod. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12050?tab=description Your mod changes the power armor pieces that drop from bosses. Can you also implement this in your mod? That existing Power armors that you find around the world have been plundered already by raiders, and you just find broken pieces, defended by raider groups?
To start off with I'd recommend using the updated version that someone else made here. Someone has merged all the DLC patches together and fixed some other issues with SAR. Nothing major in terms of changes but the original just some issues with precombines apparently.
If you're using SAR there shouldn't be any existing power armor in the world? Or not to the point where it should make a difference? Unless you're referring to the individual pieces found like in the Museum of Freedom with SAR that aren't on frames?

Haven't done a patch for the TES-51 because there isn't a mod that distributes it to NPCs. PAttP hasn't added it yet.

Also a patch for the Ultracite esp version and for the black devil x-02 would be dope.

I'll get to it eventually, probably, maybe. xD

I guess I'm a little confused.
