Updated for Horizon 1.9.4 and the new release of Heather Casdin
I will be updating my patch to work with Sars99's resource for Custom Companion Framework. This resource that was made is amazing and a great idea. It completely removes the need for other patch makers to have issues with companion mods. CKY Companion script once edited with patches like mine ruin or gets ruined by another companion patches.
For some reason Heather does not equip her weapon once you hire her. Just open her inventory and have her equip it that way. Once i figure out why i'll fix that but I have a feeling that she will need a keyword since i made the weapons companion only to fit the horizon theme. If that is the case adding said keyword might break her as the Orgianl Mod auther has said messing with how she works could break her.
So. If that is the case i wont be altering anything that could break her and we will all have to just equip the weapon manually.
The issue with Heather not automatically equipping her weapon when you recruit her has been fix. Added 40mm Fog Drop ammo type. Removed unused keywords. Adjusted starting caps/limits.
This was the last issue to remove from the patch and now that I finally figured it out. I'll start adding more Horizon content to her. Looking into putting in a teleport hub like in the predwin but that is a bit above my skill level right now. More kill rewards, quest rewards... those I can do.
Yow Yow's Horizon CKW Patch is currently not compatible with my patch for Heather. How ever a simple edit with xedit will solve this issue. I'm considering making the patch myself.
When you say “Now fully uncompatibale with anymore the effects the CKW of Horizon or any mod that willl touch the compaion system of Horizon.” …does that mean that this mod can’t be used at the same time as the companions on this page? Like, if we have Horizon-patched Ellen the Cartographer or Buttons, it’s not also possible to use your Heather patch?
i had to add her to horizons custom quests to get her to work with the level up system. because heather was made in a way that sets her outside the normal companion system. Ellen i think is based on the standard follower system so that should be fine unless the patch for her alters the same quests that this one does.
if your using the CKW patch for those two then no hearther world overwrite them or be overwritten. tho... a quick custom made patch would fix that issue.
I am considering making a patch for this mod. I'm just not sure how many people use that mod and mine.
I'm gonna patch "The Machine and her" and i'll have to add that mod to the CKW too so i'll end up having my own CKW setup. Considering making all companions myself to put them into one CKW file, but I dont really wanna step on the toes of other patchers.
I've just developed a CKW Framework that allows adding custom companions to the Z_CompanionManager quest in a similar way to doing custom ammo sets for weapon patches.
It allows users to pick and choose what companions they want installed without patches for patches for patches.
this will work with both but i use it with down graded. The main parts are set but i'm tweeking the money she has on hand for bartering. I will be pushing an update in a few days to move the grenades from what i wanted them to be to back to normal. Other then that all things will work perfectly. Just remember to not use any mods that changes scripts for Horizon. Their is only one mod to my knowledge that does this so no worries.
I was looking at the mod & patch in xEdit, and one of the keywords for her fog grenade weapon doesn't resolve. This is with Horizon 1.9.4d and pre-NextGen base game. I just took it out for now, since it was added in the patch. Any idea what it was?
Looks like the armor keywords have changed again. I updated all the "do not use" ones. I'm happy to send you my changes if you want to incorporate them. LMK.

I will look at this and fix it once i start playing again soon. I am very low level in my knowledge base of xedit and mods in general. I just know enough to make my favorite mods work with what ever i'm trying to do at the time. I'll make these changes you pointed out or you can send me the info yourself.
thx for patch, just got done with sweet revenge but don't see the option to make kellogs armor in the same menu as her standard armor and bag. also she will not revive me with the revive item in her inventory like vanilla companions. any help is appreciated, ty
this is in reference to the 107 patch, just saw the 108
hmm i'm not sure why. i have no issues with her reviving me or making kellogs armor. I'll have a look but these options work for me with no issue. if you use a replacer other then the ones i've made that will break the patch.
only thing ive got for her other than this patch is classy chasis outfit replacer which is only mesh
i can see she has the detectdeath spell on her actor effects just like all the vanilla companions but no idea why she doesnt do anything when having a revive pack in her inventory like vanilla ones do, is there anything else she needs to have for that function to work? maybe a keyword or something? ty for response
lookiong at the spell conditions it has current companion faction but heather has her own companion faction, so not sure why it works at all without the vanilla faction in her entry, now im more confused
I do know that messing with heather can cause problems or it can not. Tho i'm unsure why this happens. I have yet to have something like this happen to me and i play alot. I'm back relooking at my patchs and i'm going over this issue you have trying to find why or how this happened.
I had this working at one point then it stopped. I realized today that i took off the currentcompanion/possiblecompanoin faction tag from heather cause it was messing with out things. Those tags along with the spell death tag are used in the revive system. I've added all that back in and testing it now.
I really enjoy heather thanks for her. Any ideas though, Part of her arms is black when I activate the patch. May could you post your load order? hmm i'll take a look, i was away from this for a bit but now i'm back to update stuff. its possible that i left a tatto line from my HD verison of Heather tho i really hope that is not the case tho it may be since i make two full version. a non HD and a HD so you one need one patch or the other. i could have left something over in the patch
The next update will make it so Heather does not have unlimited ammo by default and that her power armor can be damaged. This is for balance reason's to work with Horizon in a better way. I'm gonna leave the option of turn these settings back on but I'm also considering removing the options and making it a perma change.
Considering I've givinen her a Companion weapon in the form of a Synth slaying Laser Gatling. Also her starting laser rifle will be a companion only weapon much like the Trailblaser (was called Caravaner) but lacking the extra fire damage. it will be unlimied ammo (aka the compaion normal) but cant be used by the player. Mom's laser rifle will be changed (maybe) to be like her Trailblazer weapon but for the player to use.

Just checking in to ask what's the state of this patch now. Got everything working or are there still some bugs/issues?
Also just to note, I'm using a downgraded version of FO4, will it work with that?

Could you enlighten me about the outfit mod Heather is wearing in the 3rd pic?
I think you forgot to rip out the ingestible category on the 2k esp because it overwriting values back to vanilla.thank you for catching this i'll fix it
