Great and simple mod that makes supply lines actually work how you'd expect them to and the addition of caps to the recipe + water voucher conversion is a really nice touch. No more running back and forth my settlements in survival mode to get caps and water, cause you know I hired literally an army of provisioners to do that for me.
this mod is pointless to have . it forces you to get 1000 cans of water witch is already impossible to get just to get the same amount of i think dirty water and it dosnt even provide a way to use boxed water to get clean caned water or clean boxed water . theres only one mix that i found too. 1000 clean caned water for the same ammount of i bet dirty water . i recommend to skip this mod . theres ones that really do work out here and this mod is not 1 of them
Just a thought, rather than using the folders you could add 3 recipes simply names Water (100), Water (1000) and Water (10000). And the same for Caps. Sure it's 6 recipes added to the crafting menu but wouldn't require the folders anymore.
-could you rename your mod?, i have difficult to understand what this mod about in first time, write like water supply line or water transfer -could you remove that folder about and replace into 1 to 1 , 10 to 10, 100 to 100, 1000 to 1000, 10000 to 10000 recipe? -could you remove exp for "transferring" or "craft" water? this is very good mod thank you
There seems to be a issue with having more than one recipe that crafts the same thing in the same section, I added the folder requirement to get around this.
Ok, I get what your doing here. At first I thought this was a troll mod. Like... "Hey! Want an easy way to make water. Just use water. Now you can craft water with water. So simple!"
But what it does is say, I have 100 waters in Sanctuary but I need water in Abernathy Farm (yes I know there so close). Since the waters will be in my crafting station. I can just go to a cooking station at Abernathy and craft the water using the waters in crafting station at Sanctuary. As long as there is a supply line between the two. So it saves a trip.
This is actually a very good mod. If you need the water or caps and don't want to make the trip which expends time for travel.
This is something I thought should be in the game. Not just water but any item you put in one town. Like if I put a bunch of really great weapon in my main settlement. I can later distribute them to settlers in other settlements that are connected. Sadly they did not include that. Only the ability to use junk.
Thanks for making this. I won't use it since I have no need for water or the caps really. This is just a great and useful mod. Kudos!
Yeah I was feeling kind of trolly when I first made the description, I changed it to be a little clearer now.
The first time I made a supply line I dumped everything I had into a workbench and fast traveled to my connected settlement, I was very disappointed to see that empty workbench when I got there.
I'm sure someone will figure out how to truly connect settlements after the GECK comes out, for now I'm content not to have to travel around collecting water.
Hi! You really should use Squinish's description because it's still "trolly" I couldn't figure out what this troll, sorry, mod was until I read his comment. No offense intended, just want to help.
Love this mod. Slight suggestion to minimize grinding and XP exploitation. Especially for caps at recipes for 1000 and 10,000 caps. Currently if I have 20K caps to process I have to 'cook' it 200 times. It's less of an issue with the waters, though I did like your voucher tweak.
I added an optional version with increased recipes, but a issue seems to be that the game defaults to what it considers the main recipe after you use one of the others to craft. You try to craft 1000 and after you do it once the game says the recipe crafts 100 instead.
It looks like an issue with the game itself, I don't think Bethesda planed for more than one recipe to exist for a item.
It's a minor annoyance, just switching to a different recipe and then switching back without crafting anything fixes it, but then it does the same thing again. It's the main reason I put the recipes in utility rather than beverages because it did the same thing with the vanilla purified water recipe there.
As long as you don't mind the annoyance you can craft a bunch of water and caps.
i have supply lines running into sanc i have 280 generated water in sanc but no water ever goes into my inv or workshop and caps remain the same ALL the time now in version 2.0 this mod is ripping me off! deleting it clearly does not work.
You have to use the crafting recipe located in the Utility section of the Cooking workbenches to collect the water and caps from other settlements. This mod doesn't do it automatically.
It allows you to craft purified water using any purified water in your workshop (as well as any in your settlement workshops connected via supplylines) and place them in your inventory, once you start seeing purified water removed that means it's taking some from your inventory because there's no more left in any of your connected settlements.
It's pretty much useless if you don't have any supplylines set up.
Great mod, makes collecting water so much easier. Also it seems to me each settlement has a cap on how much water is stored so if you don't go to each place every day, you hit the cap and don't get the benefit of daily production. Now all you need to do is visit a cooking station once daily and pick up your water. Really great mod at curing one of the game's annoyances.

Not really needed, just an idea.

I haven't found a way to remove the exp yet.

I will download it though so I can endorse it.

Edit: I found a way to fix the problem.
