This is a more complete version of my Original Mod, "Useful Folders and other junk". As such, the original file is now depreciated and this will be the main file. With this version, Magazines are now craftable at a chem workbench for materials and specific perk requirements to make crafting fair. An Optional Lite main version is available for those who do not want Craftable Perk Magazines.

This mod makes all those pesky folders, burnt magazines and books, and subway tokens actually have a use apart from being a nuisance. Folders, books, and burnt magazines now break down into cloth (1 each), and subway tokens break down into steel (1 per token). As of update 2.0, previously missed items have been added, with adjusted weights and values to match, these include but are not limited to: Boston Bugle Delivered/Rolled, Stingwing Barb, Toy Bot Models, Vault-Tec Lunchbox (and Nuka World Variant), Napkins, and I've added weights and values to items like Nuka-Cade Tokens from Nuka World. However, I haven't made the Nuka-Cade Misc scrappable as they are used in a similar fashion to Overdue Books, which also have not been made scrappable so no quests or rewards are interfered with - See below
Absolutely no quest items have been altered, Overdue books, Overdue Book Claim Tokens, Technical documents etc. also have not been altered as they can be turned in for items and experience, and I didn't want to take that option away from people.
All of the above now also weigh 0.1g to compensate for them now granting raw materials. Can't have them be weightless now can we? Whilst minimal, they also have a value.
This mod alters all burnt books and burnt magazines, Subway Tokens, and Folders, so now instead of being categorised under "Misc", they are now classed as Junk and can be scrapped or stored instantly with the "Move all Junk" option in the workbench. All items effected also now have a slight weight value, and their Vanilla cap values. Technical documents can also now be crafted using folders, burnt books and a typewriter. Typing up military grade documentation had to be lore friendly in some way, so the Nuclear Physicist perk is required! Yay! You can't forge documents without at least SOME working knowledge!
None Lite version - All Magazines (Including Islander's Almanac, and SCAV!) are now craftable at a chem station with burnt magazines and some other scrap, they also require specific perks to make crafting them not as broken. Also in the None Lite (OG) version, crafted + world Perk Magazines will no longer have the "FeaturedItemKeyword", or Legendary item pop-up applied to them, this is to prevent crashing when crafting a Perk Mag. However in the Lite version, FeaturedItemKeyword is still applied and causes no issues as the Mags aren't craftable with the Lite file.
- VERSION 1.1 - Removed the "featureditem" Keyword from magazines to stop crashes during crafting them. You will no longer get a legendary pick-up effect when crafting or picking up magazines.
- Lite Version 1.1 - Removed the crafting recipes so the Magazines are now back to a Vanilla state. Todd wanted you to find them, so find them!
- OG + Lite Version 2.0 - Previously missed items have been added, with adjusted weights and values to match, these include but are not limited to: Boston Bugle Delivered/Rolled, Stingwing Barb, Toy Bot Models, Vault-Tec Lunchbox (and Nuka World Variant), Napkins, and I've implemented weights and values to items like Nuka-Cade Tokens from Nuka World.
