Any chance of a 1k version? I don't know why "satellite world maps" has 44 bugs, I would much prefer your mod with 0 bugs, but 4k is a bit too taxing for my 2017 rig with all the mods im already using. Great work btw
There is a fixed version for the original Satellite World Map listed under optional files. I'm pretty sure it's also 4k so stays the same. I recommend this mod over it any day, it's more uniform and a lot better looking.
For some reason, the map shifts a little. When I'm in the starting location, in the house with the workshop, the map shows that I'm in the house opposite (the house that belonged to the main character before the nuclear bombing)
This mod fixed my issue I had when I was using Satellite World Maps, where even with this author's corrected one, all the icons would appear a few inches diagonally away from the structure they should have been. This one is perfectly aligned, but MUCH larger and more spread out, so you can't really zoom out as much as you might hope, which makes it harder to find places outside the current view....a lot of scrolling up and down, left and right.
It's a tradeoff, but I like being able to see the buildings better (8k angled building version) and I love that the icons are perfectly aligned with their landmarks. I'm on FO4VR, just in case that matters.
The satellite map has lost color, and reverted to a monochrome state, i was wondering if anyone knew a possible fix or cause for this problem. I am currently on Xbox 1 with absolutely no other map mods and the 'tactical tablet' mod for a pip-boy. The mod was working fine until i redid my modlist, even though i placed the two mods in the same position as they were before, so please if anyone has a fix or a potential cause that would be extremely helpful
Are you still planning on uploading these for Xbox players? If not, I'd be more than happy to port them myself with full credit given to you of course. :)
This is determined by a single command line: bPipboyDisableFX=1, which is found in your default fallout 4 ini's. By default it's set to 0, which disables colors and means white screen. This mod includes an ini that overwrites those default ini's and sets it correctly to enable the color.
The only thing that can change this is another .ini file somewhere higher up in the load order that overwrites it and sets it back to 0 again. The best thing is to look at mods that have to do with the Pip-Boy or maps or ui settings. You can open your mod install folder (where all your mods are installed), and search for ".ini". Open them and see if this line is found in any of them and remove it and let this mod's ini file handle it.
The vanilla map is not accurate. The icons were placed upon this inaccurate map. Now that the true positions of locations are shown, some of the icons are off and other icons are better fit.
It could be shifted with a patch, but then some that are off now will fit better and others will be off that fit now. I personally don't think it's that big of a deal that some icons are slightly off.
Sorry it wasnt clear, this is what it looks like, Its WAY off, if it were only slightly off that would be ok. but im by the mass fusion building and it thinks im all the way on the right of the map

Yeah, I just looked at the screenshot you posted, and immediately realised - it is a screenshot of the map, used in Satellite World Map, which was released back in 2016. I wish you can make optional this file mod for that land mod call "Beyond the Borders - New Lands Mod" by WOTmodsproductions release in 2016. Cause from OG satellite world map (FloorBelow) and Land mod "Beyond the borders" is require Remove Border from ini file and these mod fit perfectly. When i try your mod for that land mod, map texture mod is on outside of the map. Will you have time to make optional file for Beyond The borders Land mod?
