In my experience, there were no other ammo weight reduction mods for survival available that worked with Horizon the way I wanted, but from the few I tried, they seem to conflict and cause general issues with Horizon because of the way certain ammos are tagged. This is a cleaner version focusing solely on the ammo types in the game and added through Horizon.
Custom Guns / Ammo
If you use another weapon mod that has custom ammo or requires a mod with custom ammo, the ammo will have a weight to it in survival mode. That will need to be changed manually, by you, if you wish to go that route. Any custom gun that uses base game ammo should be fine. This is due to the way mod authors create ammo types, they set their own weight which is seperate from base game / Horizon values. I would suggestion looking for other patches for your weapon mod of choice, it might be patched to work with Horizon Ammo, in that case this patch will work for you!
Will you make a patch for X custom guns's ammo?
I won't rule out the possibility, but I can't cover every gun on the nexus, due to the sheer volume. If I find a gun mod linked interesting, I might make a patch for it.
