an idea i had for fusion cores is to be able to deconstruct them & make new cores. a core with 47/100 charge would make 47 core parts, 100 core parts would make a fully charged core. any chance you could do this?

Will this conflict with Gatling Laser Overhaul by The6thMessenger? That mod overhauls the Gatling Laser with added new attachments but does not touch the Fusion Cores themselves that I'm aware of. If so, can a patch be made? Thanks.
From digging through the mod files I can see that there are custom Fusion Cores and varying shots per FC depending on the attachments. So yes, this will most likely conflict with GLO. For a patch I would have to change the custom ammunition into GFCs, then calculate the amounts for each attachment, iron out other inconsistencies and then test everything. That mod is much more elaborate, I don't have the time and probably knowledge to make it function properly with mine, sorry.
I've moved on to other games because the Creation Kit was delayed for so long, but recently came back and dove into the workings of it. Sadly there seems to be no possibility of selecting individual Fusion Cores and their charges, which would be the sole thing I need to access for the planned features to work. I will search for other solutions and try out different approaches - like incorporating the script extender - in the coming days, I really hope I can figure out some method to make this work.
hey Binary7, any chance you'll be adding in the part about the fc merging & the other planned features any time soon? i really need to see this in the game.
also, i've already got a gatling laser ammo fix that works well enough for me, so can you put the planned features into a separate mod/file?
