Great mod to prevent myself from just printing money with water pumps. Thanks. The immersive water purification mod was a bit too heavy for me.

Is there a way to turn off healing from water pumps and such?
Or if you could tell me where to start looking in FO4Edit I will try myself.

    Thank you.

Great work on this mod btw.

Hey there, great mod you've made here! There's just one thing I've noticed, a sort of conflict with survival mode.

I was using the version that puts caps to 2 and gives 5 AP and noticed that I needed to drink pretty much double the amount of water as usual, for instance I fell ill, took some antibiotics then needed to drink a nasty 4 bottles of water when I should have only needed 2. I'm sure this is a indirect effect of lowering the value considering how food behaves with value too when you're hungry so unfortunately I've had to stop using the mod for now. I would suggest making one that just removes the healing so that players looking for a more immersive experience can benefit from this great mod without unfortunately being gimped by how it's conflicting with Bethesda's kind of silly system of how well fed and sated your thirst is just down to value of the item

Anyway again great mod, I really like it! Keep up the great work!

It'll be cool if water price will go up and down based on demand and offer. A basic demand of 60 water/day, insert a bit of variability +-25.

I will also ask for a small favor. It's actually about two ideas i had just now since you can make water give buffs: First, just to have some kind of balance with water not healing as much as before, make it give some temporary xp buff since your character is feeling refreshed. It works well with necessary mods that decrease XP gained, and makes the players keep using water constantly for that xp. Second, make it a bonus regen. instead of regaining less life. I believe there is already a small regen perk/food, but it's only 1 life per minute or something like that. Just make water give +1 regen for a certain amount of time instead of a stacking quantity of small healing. It just breaks immersion to drink ''10 bottles of water instead of 5'' like i will probably do with this mod as it is. With those two ideas, i can just keep 4-5 bottles and drink one each half hour for the buffs. Sounds fair.

The price of water doesn't really bother me that much, but i think half of the original price should be okay. It's not a good way to get caps anyway.

So your water buff will give the player a kind of similar buff as the sleeping buff ( Well Rested ) ?
In my Opinion that's actually a really good idea and makes a lot of sense, since you're feeling refreshed

Not so sure about the regen buff....couldn't you drink a ton of water and get nearly invincible that way ?

What about instead of giving you a certain amount of HP it will give you a certain amount of AP.... sure you regain AP realtivly quickly, but if you're running away from that legendary Deathclaw, a AP boost could be handy

What about 2h of well rested and -10 RADs, so you can compensate all the radiated food with clean water.

Could you make one that just removes the health regen, adds a small amount of AP, but leaves the price the same (or higher)?

I'd be happy to. Just that there seems to be more interest arguing weather water should be nerffed a bit in price or hp and less on downloading or supporting the mod. So far (at the moment of this replay) there are only 12 unique D/L and 0 endorsements. So I'll wait for more interest before I take the time to add or change anything. For now, I hope you can do with the 0.5 file where you get some AP though slow and half the price instead of the full or higher price you wanted.

I was going to update the mod to include your suggestion since there seems to be a little bit of interest and support and then I saw you never even downloaded the mod to begin with even though your suggestion was very close to what was already there. The inreste and support is still very little I might still do it if it gets a lot bigger just not now.

The person who made this mod clearly knows nothing of the human body. Without water, you are dead. Water is very beneficial to your health, and if you do not drink water, you will not live long. Don't be foolish. Water is not useless in any situation.

in the game it is.. beth litteraly just added it for rp but its useless along with cooking.. stimpacks are over abundant so food regen dont need and chems for the rads .. so water is useless in THE GAME is why i do not see a point in changing the it at all but people like rp and use it for such..

great mod for the rp users

      There's no point in arguing.
If you want to be a hardcore realist, water is very important to keep you alive but won't heal bullet wounds.

Now, from a gameplay point of view, since water is so easy to get (an unlimited supply from a water pump on any place with dirt?) it makes sense to at least nerf the cap price.

You shouldn't see arguing as a necessarily bad thing. A good Discussion can lead to new ideas and sometimes improvement

And while i personaly not hardcore enough to nerf my water, i can see why people are doing it. So thanks for giving the game more options

But...isn't it kind of pointless to nerf the healing effect of the water when a single nuke quantum gives you a full heal ?
Maybe it would be even greater if you could implement the option to nerf the nuke's as well ? If it's even possible, just droping some ideas here...

About the caps: while it is true there are a lot of water sources, there are very few CLEAN water sources. Sure, you as the player can build tons of them...but the market works with supply and demand, and the supply isn't really that great before YOU enter the market, so it's only logical that water has a high value (ok, maybe not that high ^^)... it would be wonderfull if there was a possibility to drop the prices if you supply a certain amout of water...but i hardly think this is possible at the moment :/

I never found the need for water. I find so many stims and snipe so much that I have always been good for hp. I stopped cooking all together or bothering with taking water. As for money, well I found that I really never needed that much in caps after building all the shops I needed for my settlement.

Still, nice mod. Little something for more realism.

It's just clean water when most sources of water are full of radiation.. what's the big deal?

There is an option to just get half regen in a longer amount of time (so slower hopefully) instead so it's not so "blah". (response to Ty.. who redacted statement)
