Keep in mind, this is a alpha version. Bugs are likely and will be fixed. If you find any bugs. Please report them at the Bug section.
When you have suggestions you may open a new forum thread with the structure: "[Suggestion]" followed by 1-4 words that give a short summarize about the topic.
Have you noticed, that the HP scaling of many enemies are pretty bad?
Sometimes you kill a raider with one shot and sometimes you put 100 bullets into him and he still walks? A raider that has double as much HP than a super mutant. Super Mutants that are weaker than raiders, that can not be left unchanged!
You will feel that you fight a bloatfly, a human or a Super Mutant.
This will increase the difficulty and lower the difficulty at the same time, because you won't meet raiders anymore that die with oneshot and raiders that need 100 bullets until they die.
Those of you that have broken perks, you are most likely using Better Locational damage. Better Locational Damage already includes these perks when you select the "Better Perks" or "Better Perks Enhanced" option in the fomod installer, depending on your DLC. The white perks are a result of this conflict and can be fixed by either selecting "None" in the fomod installer for Better Locational damage and installing this mod, or by not installing this mod and selecting "Better Perks" or "Better Perks Enhanced" in Better Locational Damage.
I recommend using the perks supplied with Better Locational damage, as these are most likely more up to date.
Thanks for clearing this up. This kinda stuff is the worst part of the modding experience imo. You have to go to the comments section of every mod to double check this is the latest version or there isn't some mandatory settings change you have to make, even though that kinda stuff should be in all caps in the description.
Have the same issue. No clue what's causing it and I have no other perk mods. Tried disabling some things but nothing worked.
Did notice though that all the perks that have this issue are the perks listed in the second article under the section titled: List of spells that have to be re-added when the specified perk was picked.
The specific perks are:
Action Boy/Girl - 0004D871
Quick Hands - 00127561
Lead Belly - 0004C47E
Solar Powered - 0004D8A9
Tougness - 0004A0AD
Rad Resist - 001FA241
Rooted - 001D2481
and also Iron Fist and Big Leagues
It's weird though since I started a new game specifically for this mod, so shouldn't be having any issue related to that.
Install the far harbour/nuka world dlc file from the files section of this mod. That is your problem.
Just be sure not to just blindly download files, you need to make sure you go into the files section of each mod to make sure your not missing something to avoid problems like this from happening in the future.
Same issue with me. Started when I installed the mod. Unfortunately, it persisted after removing the mod, so needing to clean up my install. I can't recommend this mod until the creator acknowledges and works to fix this game breaking issue.
This mod is broken, as best I can tell. The same is true of the patch version of this mod that's included alongside BLD. Any combination of Zzyxzz's perks mods being active results in some whited-out, unusable perks (in my experience, and in different patterns). Except for his Better Explosives perk patch which seems to work just fine.
I've tried every combination of installing BLD, BLD Perk Patch, Better Perks, Better Perks FH+NW Patch, and every time I activate anything that modifies perks, the perk tree gets broken to some degree. Only BLD by itself leaves an undamaged perk tree.
Again, except for Zzyxzz's Better Explosives perk patch which seems to work just fine. It's a shame, because I like the concept of this mod, but it does seem to be broken--as of now.
These aren't "better" perks. These perks are worse. Well, if anything they're more realistic than anything else. Can you change the name to something like "Realistic Perks." Kthxbai *Smooches*
If I install your 2 mods, Better LD and Better Perks. Then enable Better LD perk update it will not be compatible with this mod.
This is true for Rifleman only. It works to disable perk change in Better LD. And it seems like Better LD and Better Perks does exactly the same thing. But would be nice if they were compatible or a note about it in the installer.
Else love your better mods. FO4 is less stupid now.

Running this with the following mods to make it very immersive: Search and destroy http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5852/?
DEF UI (no sneak meter, no exp gain shown, only show name on enemies, no enemy hp bar etc, no damage indicator when shooting. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10654/?
No Crafting experience http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15203/?
3 % exp gain http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2949/?
To many stimpacks (keep healing food) http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13373/?
And about 100 other mods that change textures, and effects like lightning and sound. I still see your better mods as keys for this to work.
This is mod is not obsolete, when you install BLD. The NMM Installation Menu also states, if you are using This mod here, dont use the provided optional perk changes from BLD. As this mod covers them already.
id like to start a new play in fallout 4 in survivel and i think i will do it with this mod, However tell me something, why did you have to SLASH trough every perk in the game? I understand that it is to prevent the commonwealth becoming a cake walk in high levels but i think they aere a bit TOO extreme.
It's ok to install updates (Better Perks and Far Harbor Patch) with NMM normally or do I have to make some adjustments before? Something like this: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/articles/103/?

Search no longer!
Better Locational Damage - has a optional NPC Scaling module, which tries to fix that!
It will cover all generic encounters you find.
You will feel that you fight a bloatfly, a human or a Super Mutant.
This will increase the difficulty and lower the difficulty at the same time, because you won't meet raiders anymore that die with oneshot and raiders that need 100 bullets until they die.
This mod has been created for Better Locational Damage
Its not intended to play without that mod.
