I like your mindset and "BugFix" policy. I just downloaded the mod so i only have one question: is it possible to compact formIDs and make an esl flagged version ?
i can't believe this mod isn't more popular, this should've been on the front page of the F4 Nexus. Thank you so much, and i hope more people notice this, i did what i could and endorsed and voted for this mod
I, truthfully, make my mods out of necessity for my playthroughs. That being said, I also base my fixes around still-occurring problems with "most popular" mods. If you liked this one, for sure check out my other mod bugfixes!
I can only say this. Modularity is the key to modding your game and having it be stable. Look at version 3.2 of AWKCR and 8.6. The former was a framework, the latter is a mess.
3.2 doesn't touch a single Leveled List entry - for good reason - it's not the scope of a Keyword mod. 8.6? I lost count of how many LL: entries it messes with - including the multiple "duplicate to master" entries which suggests proper Q&A was never done on that release. Has to be at least 30 or more.
Personally, I rolled my own Ammo mod, which includes crafting, breakdown, and only includes the ammo types I use. It was much easier than trying to make AWKCR play nice with the rest of my load order - or worse vice-versa
AWKCR was a good idea (keywords) that lost it's way. It went from a mod people could leverage to make mods (weapons and armor) to a mod that if they leveraged it meant adding in a bunch more baggage - that any mod user that used their mod had to sort out. I mean seriously, what Keyword mod makes Cell and Worldspace edits?
That's pretty much what I was going for. Then I uploaded it, because why not. The only reason I even still use AWKCR is it's the basework of so many mods, I can't see myself playing without it.
The irony is that I never use the functions that it comes with. Just here for the framework.
