For the new 2.1 overhaul to all settlement NPC mods, they will not be compat with current saves really. To get entire benefit u will need a new game. If u dont start a new game, the new vers of patches wont break anything, they just wont do anything new
Hey, also just a question. I cant seem to get the Horizon scrap resource station to unfold into the settlement workbench. Do you think this could be Workshop framework creating a problem for me?
I have all the parts but the ram. Money tight lol. I ditched WSF ages ago. However I don't think it's directly interfering. Are you on official hz discord?
When I am using the Settlement Manager Menu patch, I lose the ability to make a SMM tape at the chem station/Utility. Uninstall the patch, it returns to the chem station/Utility. Did you move where you make the SMM Holotape or is there another issue?
ALL patches of settlement mods moved the holotape crafting to tech lab, if the holotape crafting isnt there. u already have the holotape in your inventory
Would this mean that you use Orphans of the Commonwealth without a patch? (orphans beds requires it). I haven't found mention of one on discord or nexus, but some people also seemed concerned that it needed one.
the orphan beds doesnt deliberately require it, just a recommendation. there are settler children already in commonwealth. i will be eventually looking at orphans of CW to patch it
sorry ive been still debating on how i will go about it. some options are fluff really. others yes need to be off. ill post a screen on the main page showing what ive personally done. ill try n get article up eventually. mod has been giving me a headache with the potentional conflicts that cant be fixed/turned off
Do you mean the max food and defense sliders? Wouldn't pulling them to 0 work? Or is the lowest a 1? I've never used WSFW outside of SS2 before and only have it with Horizon to use Workshop Plus cause, god mode and build flying. Losing that would suck my will to live out of my body.
I was also confused by the statements about things needing to be off or the world would implode LOL. I'm building my Horizon list and would love to use the patch but I'm confused on this as well. I mean, if there are actual dangerous settings in WSFW patch, then how do we even start the game to make the changes safely?
i was mostly joking, however some of the things as show in screen do need to be off. some are just fluff, the bottom 2 (# slider, just leave it at default). i might scratch this mod entirely from my modlist tbh, there is still some wonky stuff with it in general with horizon
the npc itself to get hz stats and recruit mod scripts. essentially merged the 2 together. i can show how to do it on stream if u want to. are u on the hz discord?
So I'm using Hz 1.9 with homemaker and the patch but it doesnt seem to work, homemaker doesnt appear anywhere when in settlement mode. I've moved the patch around amung my other patches but cant seem to get it to work. Any ideas whay might be wrong?
u dont need the 1.8 patch.... u just need homemaker and my patch. Apparently Homemaker now requires Settlement Menu Manager, so grab that and my patch for it here
it updates homemaker 1.8 patch to 1.9. mainly just fixes the material costs n such. the optional patch removes completing institute quest completion from those objects
I was having difficulty getting it to work right and I realized why now I think, it is updating the 1.8 patch but the patch provided with 1.8 isn't selectable in the 1.9 install. Does this require the original 1.8 patch to function or did I just mess something up?
