Updates and fixes coming soon to this awesome weapon!
IMPORTANT NOTES: ####################################################################################################### -Also please note the "Advanced Armor Penetrating Receiver" Requires "Gun Nut 4", "Rifleman 5", "Sniper 2" the 3rd perk won't show as a requirement, but once you have it you'll be able to construct the receiver
-I had issues at first with silent reloads, if you experience these you may have to download the HMAR replacer
-This will change all HMAR animations to the right handed variant, go download the wonderful right handed HMAR replacer to fix the meshes. If you like the left handed animation for whatever reason feel free to release a patch - it will be a bit of work rewiring all the sub-graphs though just a heads up. If you need pointers on how to do this pm me anytime! I'd do it but I'm quite bogged down with projects and what not. #######################################################################################################
If you have See Through Scopes look through your inventory for its holotape. Enable the Tactical reload patch in the holotape, and you should be able to reload when you want again.
In case for some reason some of ya'll are not aware, Bethesta logic was to nerf your weapon damage by 50% on very hard and survival. This mod author had the only direct approach for balancing a high powered rifle, properly suited for +lvl 90 with the game set to anything higher than easy-normal.
There is always Fallout Edit to adjust the damage how you want and how it fits best in your game. Already had to do it too so many times for custom weapons.
But honestly, fallout 4s enemies are really terrible balanced anyway... Common raider you can one shot with a usual gun which is dealling around 30dmg (without any perks on survival or very hard), shooting pipe gun peashooters at you which even won't do any serious damage completely without armor- but some enemies, especialy super mutand war lords or legendary ones are bullet sponges even is using fully upgraded .44 magnum or else and they even deal more damage with the same laser gun or alike than "usual" enemies or if you're using the same one- just because "he is a legendary one"... Seems he also got some perks in the end which magically increase weapon dmg.
If talking about lore friendly, originally the war broke out between the americans and the chinese. So it would be actually much more common to have chinese rifles than some developements like HK, FN and stuff later on...
Sadly Fallout never stood true to themselves except for Fallout 3 a bit, and had rather more foreighn weapons, like HK and even less lore frinedly guns like the P90 (supposedly a HK manufacture in FO2 xDD ) since Fallout Universe is a fantasy future which the people of the 50/60th just were imagine it would be. Means guns like P90, M92 FS, Desert Eagle, Steyr AUG from the 80th and above originally shouldn't be in there if really strictly speaking. (existing in older fall out games)
So the Type 81, besides if you let it pass it was also produced in the 80th, would be actually besides american fire arms the most common instead of the rest of modern european origien. (Originally chinese first own assault rifle developement and not a copy like Type56, would be even more lore frindly in that case since if fighting a war arms race is a thing)
* That said, Fallout 4 is a total mess anyway. Besides the unique fallout trademark: this bulky ugly 10mm pistols, In there there is even no real iconic american weapon like the 1911, M16, or if ever there are just such abdominations like the SMG and combat rifle which is supposed to be a Thompson and a BAR, which are even terrible balanced...
