helo , i don know how to mod or what modder resource really mean, but does this mean i can wear these shoes mod ingame or do i have to do somnething before that
These shoes are NOT in-game, these are only the files for modders to use them in their Outfits. The game has no shoes separate from the Outfits, but I'm trying to change that.
For some reason despite me applying the textures to the appropriate mesh in NifSkope and showing up properly in Outfit Studio, they appear as missing in-game with that ugly pink shiny texture. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. It seems fine in any other program.
See if paths are correct, paths inside the material file, and the paths on the nif. Also, make sure you have put those textures in the correct path inside the MO2 mods folder. They gotta be inside a mod folder I believe. Do you use anything other than MO2?
I guarantee you the mesh is ok, the material files too because all those shoes displaying correctly in my game, even integrated on the leveled lists.
Ok now nifskope and outfit studio refuse to even apply the textures at all after I checked to see if the materials paths were ok.
The original path (which I assume was the one you used) was ColtU/Shoes, worked fine until I decided to just copy your setup in a hail mary attempt to get the game to recognize the textures, but not only did it not, but now nifskope refuses to let me apply any texture to any shoe model.
I believe you that the meshes are ok, I just don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Materials\ColtU\Shoes\Boots_Rustic.bgsm This is the path that should be displayed at the NIF. at BSLightingShaderProperty under "Name". Not on BSshadertextureset... just to make sure.
Those Material files need to be inside a mod folder, they can't be anywhere else.
The path of textures inside the material files are like: Clothes/Boots_Rustic/Boots_tex_Base_Color_dds.dds This means that it must be inside a mod folder and inside the TEXTURE folder. Meaning it will be like this:
No, I don't use MO2. I use the community version of NMM. Even then, I downloaded these manually and plopped them in a mod folder inside the base FO4 folder (not inside a data folder. I had tried that previously but the nif files wouldn't register these textures).
Oh I see what I did wrong now; I only assumed they had to be inside a mod folder and not in the main F4 corresponding directories as well. Thank you very much for your help and the assistance!
You're welcome. If you're going heavy on modding I would suggest MO2. Although I never used nmm, from what I researched it's not the best friend for modders.
YES! Thank you for making this! There's been a seriously lack of footwear in the armor dept forever. I'm tired of shiny brand new heels I want ratty sneakers and muddy boots!

You use mod organizer right?

These are still too shiny though, I'll add some stains to the textures once it's released.
There you go, I was just passing by this Omega tutorial. There are several others, although this one doesn't show it all, it shows you how easy it is.
