Before someone messages me or comments here about Project Dementia being placed into the Whispering Chills Wabbajack modlist. I have talked to ScreamingLake already and gave them the go ahead to do so.
Anything else shall still follow the route for getting permissions.
I keep getting asked to make a 1k or 512 texture version of this mod.
Currently, I have no plans to do so. Here is the reason why, this mod is not complete and I'm seeing fallacies within my own edits that I would have to go back and reedit. This takes time. Not only this, but I'm already downscaling textures from 4k as is as I work on them. So, with each iteration it would triple the work load for my workflow. Especially if I'm not satisfied with the result later on because there is something off with it that I didn't notice when I first looked at it.
With this being said, I am doing this mod for my own permanent setup. 2K textures are about par for what I want, especially for detail and that definitely comes first. Will I entertain the idea of 1K textures in the future, yes. As of current, no.
If you want lower resolution textures, which most certainly will lose some of the details the 2k offers, then you are good to do so. I ask that you send me the files and I can post it here as an optional file for others to download. If you don't want to do it, then you will need to wait patiently while I get this mod to where I want it first for my setup. (THIS DOES NOT MEAN DOWNSCALE THE TEXTURES AND THEN UPLOAD IT AS A SEPARATE MOD. You do not have permission to do this.)
This being said, if you do not like what is stated here, have comments that are less than human and cannot understand this is for myself first, others second. I will block you from seeing the mod permanently and you will not receive any future updates.
OMG this is awesome. Thanks for this. Just the grass and landscape could be a bit more natural, not just black, like super dark brown landscape + very dark green or brown grass maybe?
I've spent the last few years going back and forth between retextures, I absolutely think this has the best interiors Ive seen. From the rusty/dark-ish/silent hill walls from The Vault to the very detailed Wood and Brick walls on ran down buildings. I've used this with the "Another Pine Forest" dark retexture and it turns this into a whole new game. The only thing its the lack of LOD unless there is and I have made a mistake installing it. Either way, moving forward and seeing the light textures turn dark makes it look like a whole game mechanic, its beautiful.
This mod is truly amazing, it completely overhauls the game's style. I was completely surprised to find Fallout 4 could look so immersive. However, I've decided to stick with the vanilla version because I'm too timid. Even wearing a hat, I still feel scared.
