You should also add the original Field Scribe texture with the body alpha channeled out and maybe some color variations of it like I did with my Field Scribe Backpack mod. I have updated my Field Scribe Backpacks mod to use a new smaller version that keeps the same shape so even if you used my version 2 textures it wont be duplicate mods. You would essentially be taking over my original mod and everyone that prefers it over the new could use your mod or even both.

You don't need the 1rst person mesh. It should be using a body slot that's not used for normal armor and you have the arms alpha channeled out, the FFieldPack1stPerson.nif and MFieldPack1stPerson.nif would be for a complete outfit with arms and hands, those are used in first person POV. If your outfit doesn't have gloves or sleeves you don't include first person mesh, the game will use the default one.

Will be adding Originals and some other variations over the week. Will look at yours more later and add a link to it for other options. I not too keen on a smaller sizes my self, and was going to make cut up versions of it like you did, for thoughts who wanted it. But was going to get to playing game for a few days heh. I just did not want to get to carried away till we got mesh import ability proper. There UV maps need a lot of fixing, such as there extra straps are out of scale and such things.

I did not realize that we could manipulate the meshes in the program. Just been working with it a little again, it has been a few years.

When following some tutorials people did, which were hard to follow. 2 of them said to use the 1st person model, and when I didn't they showed up, but I think I sorted that out and just never went back to remove there references and delete them will be in another upload.

I should link to other backpack mods as well, I didn't think of that.

I used 3DS Max and Outfit Studio to make the new mesh in mine. Outfit Studio to get the vertice weighting and make the .nif. Ofcourse Blender would work as well, Export as .obj from Nifskope, load that into Blender or 3DS Max and make your changes, then export as a .obj and import that into Outfit Studio.

The reason some tutorials mention including the first person models is they are for normal clothing items that would have sleeves and those would be what's used when in first person mode.
