Try these: 1-Run as admin. 2-Press windows+r , type appdata and hit enter. Go into "local" folder and find "Fallout4Launcher", go into it until you see a file named user.config Make sure this file is not set to "Read only" or hidden. Try applying this to all appdata folder if must.
If you see more than one, that means you had run more instances of the file in different file paths. Deleting the Fallout4Launcher folder entirely will reset things. Try doing that.
Unfortunately, this does not seem to work for me. It keeps saying I need .NET Runtime, and no matter how many times I install .Net or Microsoft Visual Redistributables, I get the same error.
Change properties of this launcher to run with admin priviliges form right click, properties, under compatibility tab. It will launch F4SE as admin too since programs run by an elevated programs also use admin priviliges. It will ask for User account control prompt (UAC) as usual.
I recommend using it not as an admin if it isn't required by some other mod or program, since you can just hit play and don't bother with UAC prompt and go straight into the game. You can change "f4se_loader.exe" 's settings to not run as the admin. By doing so, you should not be prompted by anything and get straight into the game. If it is MO2 you are talking about, same thing applies. Change MO2 to not run as admin.
It does not, steam does not check the integrity of the file but only the name (existence) when starting a program, unless the game actually gets an update. And in that case, well, nothing different than the usual update procedure. Let steam do its thing and install this again.
This is a launcher replacer, and steam will run it instead of the default one. It doesn't change the way the game exe or f4se work.
It does not make any calls to steam or the game. You just hit play on steam page and play it like in vanilla, without bothering with a f4se shortcut. Just make sure you have a file called Fallout4Launcher.exe in your folder so steam doesn't start a verification.
This is a perfect replacement for those of us who want to keep the functionality of the original Fallout 4 game page on steam, but still want to use F4SE. Thank you for making this.
