Yeah, that was recently added to the description and I have already grabbed that mod and it works as described. The rotation fix came out after this mod by almost a year.

What you could do is take the DDS file of the moon you like best and then make a bunch of copies of that file. Then you could rename the copies to the corresponding file names for all the moons in the mod and replace them with the copies. Then you'd have all the moons the same texture and it should take 2-3 minutes of your time.
Can you make a version of it where the moon seems war scared and messed up because it's mentioned that there was a battle/war on the Moon and all I think about is orbital lasers and nukes making a lot of extra craters. Maybe give it a gross green surge like it's nothing but The Glowing Sea.

Now this isn't one of those "Oh those mods already exist so there doesn't need to be any more" but more of a "here are two you might use while waiting.' I honestly love seeing destroyed moon mods because they honestly look better than just overly colorful moon retextures.
combine this with the dead sun mod, the mod that makes water turn to blood, and the dementia retexture mod, with this mod that i just found and you'll have a horror style game worth of nightmares and dead space
