    If I missed any NPCs that you think should be included, let me know.

    Notable NPCs:
    Stodge and Hubert are NOT Essential. I don't know if Hubert can become hostile or not during his group's recruitment mission.

    Anton, Knox, and Audra are NOT Essential, because they can die in their quest.

    Caleb Saunders has been MODIFIED to be Essential, scale with player level, AND not effect player stealth. This should help to avoid issues with completing his quests (i.e. he decides to 1v1 a Deathclaw on the hunt for Bombface and gets killed in the crossfire.)

    I did not touch CPD NPCs, since I don't know all quest outcomes that may involve who lives and dies.

    Concord NPCs that are essential for quests have been changed to ESSENTIAL (i.e. Dyllan and Carnal). Concord NPCs that can DIE from quest outcomes (i.e. Jeff) are still marked as Protected.



    Also, this is my first mod with Fo4Edit, and my first mod using an FOmod installer. So if I messed anything up, let me know so I can fix it.

    For the CPD side of things...pretty much all but Jerred Lund and Shhandy (but he's a kid so he doesn't count) can die by quests...course if either of the Forseti siblings (Simon/Lena) dies because of the quests, then you may as well kill Jerred Lund as well as all the CPD would consider you as your enemy if I remember right.

    Just to point out, this includes Pete and Patty Emins included in the CPD in case anybody forgets.

      I figured as much, which is why I didn’t touch them. CPD quests have a lot of quest outcomes with NPC death.

      Patty and Pete You can end up in a fight with them when you meet them.  (I almost sniped them off).  Could they be vulnerable then and after when they spawn inside the Police HQ have a protection?
      If you end up fighting the settlers Huber tries to irradiate ya :)
      Your right on the money overall and I have to say Ive been waiting for a mod like this.  Just a random thought could you make it so you can use the clipboard or some gun or something to apply and remove the essential tag?

      I don’t know how to dynamically change the NPC flag according to quest or through a toggle. All I know is how to change it outside the game. Sorry, I don’t know if that’s a feature I could implement.

      You’re very welcome! I think all of us have had that moment of accidentally killing a unique settler with grenade or something during the big Gunner Raids in Ch 2, so seemed like a good thing to make, and I had the toolset to do it :)
