As usual, just something I made for myself awhile back and cleaned up for public consumption. If you share screenshots, awesome! But keep in mind this mod is not flagged as adult, so SFW only please.
Some random fun skin texture ideas to pair with this mod that I really like: (there are NSFW pics if you don't filter out adult mods, but these can be used with nevernude bodies as well) FSM Body Textures (lots of options, removed from Nexus) I'm not A Hipster 1 and 2 Nuclear Nude (lots of options) The Wandering Scavver (lots of male and female options)
Thanks for hot files everyone! I wasn't expecting a semi-DIY project to get much heat. :) If you want the ability to customize your body meshes the same way, check out Unique Player (LooksMenu Edition).
hey, is there any way to add more than 5 female and 5 males folders? like 10 each or more ect, if so i would really like to know. the reason is i have a lot of npc followers thanks to unlimited companion mod and like to add more than just 5 of each textures.
ok seems to be working, but with one problem. When I select say "custom 1", it changes then skin as expected but it changes the mouth type to "average 1". So when I go change the mouth type to "Full 2" it uses the default texture for the mouth. So, to correct it I go back to 'body>skin' and disable and enable "custom 1" and it corrects the skin. But, it changes mouth type back to "average 1" again. I tried saving the preset and loading from the preset, but that didn't work. What am i doing wrong.
Its just a shame that unlike Skyrim, you cant zoom closer than about 5m to your character in 3rd person, so you could never get close enough to see their skin anyway.
Even without 3rd-party tools, face textures are really noticeable in cutscenes. Things like tanlines can be really noticeable with the vanilla camera as well, imo. YMMV of course. :)
Yep i realise you can in cut scenes, but how often do they occur. The looks menu option does not apply to regular play. The free cam i was un aware off, but is a lot of messing, and changing the FOV effects regular 1st person view. Why they made the minimum 3rd person zoom so far out is beyond me..
While I agree with your camera criticisms 100 percent, Photo Mode is pretty easy to use with a dedicated MCM hotkey, or Configurable Hotkeys' MCM comes pre-programmed with flycam hotkey options.
(Not trying to sell you on the merits of this mod, but they're nice tools regardless imo!)
I'm so confused on how I have to use your mod along Hipoly Faces Redux Mod because hipoly doesn't have dds files as the ones you included in your mod, so I'm thinking in load hipoly after your mod in mod organizer and see what happens
Hello, are you using the latest version of fallout? I have everything updated and it doesn't work for me. What version of fallout, lookmenu and Script Extender do you use?
Everything is the latest version (unless someone intentionally rolls back or uses a pirated game). Did you activate the mod and check the ESL is activated? Have you done barchiveinvalidation? Can you enter the looksmenu Body > Skin page as described on the front page?
If you can't find the Skin option under Body it means your entire Looksmenu mod is not working, and has nothing to do with this mod. barchiveinvalidation steps are here: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4421 , if you didn't do this, none of your mods will work. If you are using a custom profile in your mod manager you need to edit the lines in the custom ini files as well
I have followed the instructions and had already enabled the lines of text as described in the tutorial. Can you add a message with the cpmtenido of your "fallout 4 .ini" to see where I'm wrong? This is what my file line looks like:
If this doesn't work, It would be better to get help from the Looksmenu mod page itself and get your other mods up rather than clutter this comment section. I got it working within a minute of installing it with no issues.
@maxiteo: That's mostly the sort of thing I use this for too. :) And thanks for trying to help troubleshoot! Looks like it works OK with high poly head too for you?
@Lion: Yep, if you don't even see the options then it's an issue with modding Fallout 4 in general, not this mod. I recommend using a mod manager to install mods and starting from there, as well as making sure you have all required files. See the troubleshooting text on the front.
I have the same issue a lion. I see the high poly head skins just none of the other skin presets. I was using the alternate plug in though without the skin textures included. Maybe I was using the wrong texture folder. I tried cridowskin and took the files from the pack and placed them in the main file folder for female 01. didn't see them though
Ah, I did re-upload that one, but I kept the same version and told it to replace the old file. (The "no textures" version is functionally identical to what was there before, I just added empty folders to make it a little easier to work with.) That's weird.

That's why it's difficult to decorate the character's face.

@kijikun below: Another great suggestion, those look great too.
Natural Male and Female are my picks for that currently.
