you know, now that watch the video, I think I can pin-point what made me falll in a Bromance with Garrus in the first place aside from his absolutely Based behavior and way to go about things: it was the low growl turrians have in their voice, that synthezised low-growl kinda put a more impactful punch to his voice lines in Mass Effect. i think I can speak for all Mass Effect players that Garrus' voice tone, inflexions and the addition of the Turrian growl just made him absolutely the voice of reason, morality and ultimately the model Paragon character to follow as an example within the game.
Now with your voice replacer mod, the turrian growl isnt there and the voice lines don't hit me the way the ones in Mass Effect does. This isn't me giving you flak for the work done here, you've done good from the video posted here, especially for a first mod using emrgent technology on top of that, its remarkable and I give you merit for bringing Brandon Keener's voice to Fallout 4. What I'm little sad is, AFAIK, there isn't a Player Model replacer that turns Nate into Garrus. if there is one and you can capture the Turrian voice on top of that, it would absolutely be the wildest ride I could think of for a modded playthrough
I know exactly what you mean Jeff. That growl is a attention grabber. His voice is part of what drew me to him when I first started playing. That and those eyes and colony markings. His behavior definitely gets your attention as well since he behaves differently than most other turians. His strong will and dedication reflects in his voice and actions. He melted me from the beginning and I've been at his side ever since. No one matches my Shepard better as a mate. I'm happy someone had the idea to make a mod like this and I can definitely hear him in the video just the growl is missing. Not trying to be overly critical or give you flak as Jeff said just expressing a opinion. You did a great job for a first mod and hopefully you keep working to improve this one and maybe make more later. Keep up the good work. :) A player model or a companion with this voice mod would be awesome. I'd be all over either. xD
Thank you both for the kind words and for sharing my love of Garrus and Mr. Keener as a VO. He just has such an iconic voice and its easy to pick out. I love finding random NPCs with his voice and going "Its him!". Currently, the actual voice is just barely behind in terms of how updated it is for xVASynth, for example it doesnt have proper pronunciation support, but it will in the future when DanRuta gets around to it. Unfortunately it may be a while as Im sure he will focus on the "bigger" voices in Fallout 4 to update, but I dont mind the wait.
Weird I didn't get a notice of a response here. :o Shakarian fan through and through here(thus my profile pic xp). I romance him every time I play now. He's just to awesome and adorable not to. xD He definitely does have a iconic voice. It's become a sort of game for me to pick out familiar voices in games and his is definitely one I listen for. I can wait as long as needed to have his voice in another game that I enjoy. I appreciate your hard work and willingness to make something like this.
It sounds a lot smoother but I honestly wouldnt know where to start with that program. The great thing about xVASynth is its free, easy to use, and can convert any voice to the correct file type that Fallout uses
I can't seem to get this mod to work, probably user error. I've installed the latest version using vortex, deployed, and no changes have been made. Again, I probably did something wrong along the way, but I don't know what that could be. Do I have to install this mod manually?

Might need some tweaking, jokes aside
Good work!
I'm interested in other voices, for sure.
