Version 1.1
Added protected flag to FSD officers, this should make it much harder to get your hands on their armor early game
There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state. The other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people...
MunkySpunk did an absolutely incredible job with The Fens Sheriff's Dept, the mod is a true masterpiece. However, the choice to heavily militarize the internal DC Security force leaves me missing the quaint old baseball uniforms. So, I made this patch.
This reverts the mod's edits to the DC Security Guards and their uniforms. Inside DC, most of the security guards you encounter will be vanilla. Outside the wall, you will encounter the Fens Sheriff's Dept. The idea is that the vanilla DC Guards are tasked with internal security- protect and serve, while the Fens Sheriffs Dept is tasked with fighting the enemies of the state.
This mod also removes a bunch fo the military gear and decorations from the DC Security office.
This also expands the pool of headgear they can wear. As such, I recommend Varied Diamond City Guards, to expand the pool of faces available to them.
