God, THANK YOU! I'm a knife maker, myself. Because of that, every time I see Kremvh's tooth I cringe because there's no way it wouldn't fold over or snap in two upon impact. Your version is practical and menacing. The design is also more effective realistically than the typical machete.
My only complaint is that, well....I could make this. In like, two hours. It kind of kills the mystical aspect. In short, it's missing something. The original, though dumb, looks ominous. You can tell something's just...wrong with it. Yours, though cool, completely forgoes that vibe. Might I suggest playing with the colors, or perhaps adding engravings or some other oddity? Just something to set it apart. Even if you have to wait until the GECK comes out, it would be well worth it. Kremvh's Tooth deserves so much better than Bethesda's design, and yours is the closest to what it has the potential to be.
All that said, thank you for your hard work! You've improved my game immensely with this mod.
Yeah, it certainly isn't quite as "sacrificial" as the original. It might be the metal colour, as you say (original was almost dark bluey) but I dunno. I'm personally fine with it how it is, but I like really plain stuff so maybe that's just me. Would you like a recolour so it's more like the original? I could whip one up in about 5 minutes.
That would be great, actually! Sorry for the LAAAAATE response, but Nexus doesn't want to update my replies, etc. for some reason. I'm actually drawing up my own design and trying to learn how to make my own, both in real life and on the Nexus. However, I'd gladly use your design because in all likelihood I won't devote the time to crafting the digital version of mine.
Long story short, thanks! I'll take you up on your offer.
YES. This is exactly what I'm talking about. Crude, yet intricate. It holds meaning only to its creator. It's ominous, yet somewhat ordinary. Fantastic work.
I'd really like to see that finished. Granted, it was posted over a month and change ago, so I don't have high hopes, but I'd still like to play with that.
Looks too nice and pristine and polished, despite the rust. It's a fancier chinese dao looking machete instead of a sacrificial blade.
A straight out of forge look would probably work, let's say they forged it to shape and grinded an edge, then went straight to heat treating and tempering, then sharpened the edge, so still roughly have the functioning shape and a good edge, but everything else still blackish and got hammering marks all over, new texture and normal maps should be able give it that look but some mesh editing is needed to rough up the spine.
But I'm just talking out of my ass here since I can't texture, normal-map nor mesh. I just watched a lot of swordmaking youtube videos.
But still, this is way better than what bethesda made, hell even vanilla skyrim paddles are better than bethesda's tooth.
Maybe rough up the handle as well, no idea why vanilla tooth have a normal handle.

Anyway, a great work as always!

Not finished yet, but it's getting there.
