Huge announcement, folks. In a couple of weeks, this mod will be defunct. The quality has been nagging at me for a while, and I’ve finally decided to REDUX it. Until then, feel free to keep using this mod, just know that when the redux releases, it most likely will not be a simple update, and will probably require a new game. Until then, keep firing these rounds!
hmm okay thanks for the reply! Yeah idk why but I tried every gun mod i have to add it as a master just to see and no luck. Gonna try reinstalling ig ty!
Two quick questions, One, can you please add a .300 BLK (Blackout) round? A lot of mod weapons use it, I would like to have a single ammo for them to use (by patching myself), and I have swapped from New Calibers (which had it) to Munitions (which doesn't). Two, are you still remaking this mod? Should I not use this? nvm just realized you already answered.
Maybe you can give me a pointer or two. Is there anything specifically unique to munitions rounds? Or can I just add a new ammo record as a patch, add it to the leveled lists and more or less copy information from a similar round (like 5.56) into the new record? Extremely new to patching and xedit but learning from other’s work.
Is there still a new version in the works? I'm thinking about making patches for a new playthrough and this is part of my load order, but I'm hesitant to start that process if there's a new version on the horizon.
There is a new version in the works - but as I've decided to drop most of it at once, I'm a little backed up on patching. If people want to patch it by themselves I'll probably drop it sooner.
That's awesome, I'm glad this project is still alive! I can only speak for myself, but all I need is the ESP and BA2 files for the ammo types themselves. I don't normally use weapon patches or the provided injection scripts because I have my own merged patches for leveled lists and weapons, so I would just make your mod a master of those and then patch it into all the pertinent items and lists for my load order. But, this is your mod, so release it when you think it's ready. I'm just gonna play some more CyberPunk until then, a new FO4 playthrough can wait.
I'm certainly fine with just patching everything myself, I've been doing that anyway as a teaching tool. I understand however if you want to get everything patched though since XBox users just don't have the ability to do it themselves. I'd offer to help with the patching but I'm just a little too busy to be useful.
I'm loving this mod, although I do have a question. How difficult would it be to add new calibers myself using xedit? Is it as simple as just creating a new entry, and pointing whatever weapon/reciever I want in that direction? (I have no intention of publishing patches or modified versions)
Might i suggest a "German Pack?" I know that Munitions has a '7.92mm' round, but it is ambiguous as to what caliber this actually is. I would recommend this Pack included 7.92×33mm Kurz, 7.92×57mm Mauser (8mm Mauser) and 13.2×92mmSR. I know the last one is rare, but Broodahood just released a new Kar98k mod that includes a Tankgewehr M1918 rifle.
If I had to choose just 1 caliber to request, it would be 8mm Mauser. (Munitions' existing 7.92mm round can represent 7.92×33mm Kurz)
I second this, but you gotta have Kurz as well, the differences in round are enormous (one being a full powered round, the other short for assault rifles). Can't have an STG44 doing as much damage as an MG42!
Not sure if it's already been addressed but the texture pictured for 7.62x54mmR's box says they're rimfire cartridges. They are rimmed, yes, but they're centerfire. Probably just an oversight.
