    PACT GITHUB LINK

MO2 VERSION 2.5.X MIGHT NOT BE FULLY COMPATIBLE YET

READ THE README FILE, THAT'S WHAT THE README IS FOR
DO NOT RUN PACT THROUGH MO2 OR VORTEX, JUST RUN THE EXE

    TROUBLESHOOTING

    PACT
SHOULD ONLY CLEAN ONE ( 1 ) PLUGIN AT A TIME AND ONLY HAVE ONE ( 1 ) INSTANCE OF XEDIT OPEN
IF YOU ARE USING MOD ORGANIZER 2, MAKE SURE THAT MO2 IS COMPLETELY CLOSED BEFORE RUNNING PACT

    - If you keep getting ❌ ERROR : PLUGIN IS DISABLED OR HAS MISSING REQUIREMENTS... for every plugin, close PACT and open XEDIT yourself, you'll likely see that
Patreon / Support reminder pop-up message, select don't show for a while and close the pop-up, then exit XEDIT and start PACT again, it should now work. Many thanks to user formamid for pointing this out.

    - If any plugin takes longer than *5 minutes* to clean, PACT will automatically close XEDIT and skip that plugin.

(You can adjust the timeout value. If it occurs, the plugin will be also added to the ignore list in PACT Ignore.txt)

If you get a message in XEDIT saying "Exactly one module must be selected for Quick Clean mode", this means either:

    • The plugin name is invalid. Simply press OK to close XEdit and PACT will continue cleaning other plugins.
    • You didn't set the Mod Organizer 2 exe path correctly and PACT is running in Vortex mode instead.

If you get an error in MO2 saying "This application failed to start because no Qt Platform...", this means either:

    • You are trying to run PACT with MO2 already open. Don't do that. Close all MO2 instances and run PACT normally.
    • Your MO2 might be missing some files. Make sure to reinstall latest 2.4 version of MO2 or try the portable version.

I can't find the loadorder.txt or plugin.txt. I'm a vortex user. Any idea how to make this file show up?
    Thanks in advance.

Open Vortex -> on the left go to the Mods tab -> on the top click on the Open icon -> select Open Game Application Data Folder

      OR go to: C:\Users\*user*\AppData\Local\Fallout4
Replace *user* with your windows user name.
      OR just go to: %localappdata%\Fallout4

WARNING : YOUR PACT INI PATHS ARE INCORRECT!
Please run the PACT program or open PACT Settings.ini
And make sure that file / folder paths are correctly set!

i set all the executables correctly but its still telling me they are incorrect. using MO2 btw

Working great so far! It has cleaned up all the issues that I couldn't get Fallout 4 edit to take care of on its own. But it will take me a few ages to  have it clean the massive amount of mods I have.

Hi, Will your tool be updated to work with the last MO2 version or the only way will always be to downgrade MO2?

So i got this message "UnboundLocalError: Local variable bat_command referenced before assignment" it doesn't respond after, Is this normal? Did i do something wrong? When it says to add the Xedit executable I assumed where it meant where The file is located on my pc, was that not the correct path setting for xFOEdit? Was getting warnings before prompting me that my Pact ini setup was incorrect, so I tried to add my load/plugin text manually before where you specified and it would just start up and close itself. that wasn't working then i realized i was setting the path to a shortcut I had for xFOedit, selected the actual file, used the plugin text instead of the load since the load + xFOedit was giving the same warning. Just started to learn how to use xEdit, body slide/outfit studio so these things take me for a loop.

UnboundLocalError is some weird bug that I can't replicate on my end, but I'm still trying to find a way on how to prevent it.
Nothing wrong with your setup, I'd presume. And yeah, gotta be careful to select the actual files/executables  and not their shortcuts.

      I received the same error.
      Using 1.75.
      Traceback (most recent call list):
File "PACT_Interface.py", line 317, in run
        File "PACT_Start.py", line 418, in clean_plugins
        File "PACT_Start.py", line 302, in run_xedit
UnboundLocalError: local variable 'bat_command' referenced before assignment

      When I changed PACT Settings.ini
      LoadOrder TXT = C:/Users/User/AppData/Local/Skyrim Special Edition/loadorder.txt
      to
      LoadOrder TXT = C:\Users\User\AppData/Local\Skyrim Special Edition\loadorder.txt
PACT ran without error, cleaning 358 plugins.

MO2 isn't running. I use a portable version and got this error. Reinstalled and got the error still. Any ideas, anybody?

EDIT: Seems to be because I am using MO2 2.5, glad to know am not alone at least.

I downloaded the file, did exactly as the instructions said and everything was fine, it ran on 252 active plugins, cleaning on 11.

Thanks for the program, I always used FO4 when installing a mod, but I relaxed and let it accumulate, your program is wonderful.

I entered the game and everything was ok, no problems.

People who report bugs and problems, you are doing something wrong, or there is some wrong configuration, because for me the program worked perfectly.
