I'm having some trouble getting Discrete Female Skeleton (DFS), to interact with this mod. DFS requires a skeleton, and this mod doesn't contain one? DFS is grayed and crossed out in xEdit.
Would you kindly add a few more instructions about how to configure the files to work together properly?
Yes dfs come with no skeleton and use vanilla skeleton as default... You must search for a vanilla skeleton in search bar and place it in the folder dfs has reserved folder for that. Dfs contain a folders structure with a text "Put your female skeleton files here.txt" it's here you place the skeleton.
The second folder "_1stPerson" is optional
The skeletons I used are here:
Adjusted Neck and Head Proportions : https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/30433 Nanakochan skeleton https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/52033
By example you can use z_bigger head smaller neck - smaller arm hands legs and shoulders, download manually and place the skeleton in dfs folder, it will apply to all females in game
Or you can modify you skeleton with nifskope also but it's technical way. Change head scale is easy but for the rest that require more knowledge.
First I'm enjoying your mods very much! Thanks for all that good stuff.
Second I have a question:
There are two ESPs in your replacer-mods. In Vortex I set them all to "Mark as Light". Works. But why are tere two ESPs? Can I deactivate/uninstall one of them if I don't want to change body or use the preset for other NPCs?
Like Marcy Long Replacer: a140 Mai11 - Marcy.esp a140 Mai11.esp
Why do I need respectively do I need "a140 Mai11.esp " for new (and very nice) look of Marcy Long?
The first is a base npc that do nothing itself but you can use for you (if you know modding) to replace yourself or any npc, and the second is an extension of the first to replace piper
if you deactivate the second, nothing is replaced but you can use it yourself, if you deactivate the first nothing work. If separated the two to have more modularity. Few time I decide to replace many npc, few time just piper, few times just myself. The piper replacer is optional but the main one do nothing alone if you don't know modding.
Understand. Thanks for your detailed answer. I'm new in modding but I can replace her by myself. For know I will leave it like it is. It's a good solution to have these possibilities. Thanks a lot!
sorry if you could help. I've got the preset to kind of work but it's as if the meshes don't line up if that makes sense. And the makeup doesn't show up. Sadly, I couldn't find any tutorial on this kind of editing.
She is not intended to be modified with vanilla items because she is not vanilla... To do that you have to recreate all things makeup and other from zero... And how the engine work randomly I'm just not sure if it's possible to do that without breaking all others npc's. That because many things like tints makeup are shared by all game human npc, and more the indexes are shared by all mods on nexus. That why they created mods like looksmenu compendium. And are also dependent from global texture size and things like that... Modifying these things without a deep knowledge of that can go in global bugs.
Hey thank you for the mods! Could you make this one, and your other replacer mods, standalone, non-replacer, presets? That way we could add this preset to the characters we want and still have the normal companions.
Dude. You should see my cousin, she has two kids and looks younger than this. She has to jump up on furniture to have normal conversations eye to eye with the giant men in our family lol.
Her husbands a bad ass Army dude and no one dares call him names to his face but my poor cousin has to hear it a lot and tells him. Then I have to reasure him that he's not a you-know-what. Pretty sad considering he's an amazing Father and Husband.
I once told him, "if you weren't married to my Cousin then who knows who she'd be with by now!"
It's weird that it's fine to judge certain people (namely straight, white hetero men) but not others. The world is crazy weird and varied bro.
great mod thanks. think maybe u can do one for curie as well ? i found one but it conflicts alot with mods i have installed thanks for ur hard work! keep it up!
Her face works, but she is still just as tall as before. do i have to install a specific version of Discrete Femal Skeleton? how do i make her look like in your screenshot?
It's optical effect. She has vanilla size but with a more big head than vanilla. To do that you can ask in dfs forum. Else I do not recommend to change another thing than the head size because the game is basically intended to use a precise vanilla sized skeleton to interact with the environment, like sitting, using a weapon, and all.

Hope that's not a stupid question...
