Ask them directly, the stated in an earlier post, if someone wants to update it, they'll provide access. Only reason he didn't update was because he wasn't a fan of the changes after 7.2, which is reasonable.
Hello! I recently uploaded a VAFS patch for the most recent version of the Life in the Ruins mod list, which is based around this perk overhaul. Unfortunately, it is not compatible for user who use ONLY True Perks. However,
Modifying my patch to be suitable for use with ONLY True Perks will be relatively light work, almost all perk updates are already taken care of.
If you want to use my patch as a basis for updating this patch, I WILL HELP YOU OUT! :)
If no one else wants to tackle this in the near future, I'm going to do it when I get some more time to work on mods, in the next month or so.
You can find my patch here: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/82231
No. I dont like some of lates changes into True Perks. Also i am not playing fallout as often this days. If someone is willing to keep updating this patch i could give him access to edit this mod.
Can you tell me what I would need to learn, and use, in order to take this on? I really want to update this patch to work with the current version of True Perks.
FO4Edit is everything you need. There are few tutorials online how to use it. There are few steps to updating this patch i advise you to do: 0. To understand my patch open FO4Edit with TP v7.2 installed (currently supported) and try to understand how it works. 1. Check True Perks changelog to see what exactly was changed since last version supported by my patch. 2. Install newest version of TP and try to resolve conflicts in perks that are overwritten by my patch and TP and were changed since version 7.2 3. Start the game and test if they work correctly 4. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you are satisfied with the result
Hi, thanks for putting this patch together! Just a heads up, True Perks got updated recently and changed the Condition of Classic Criticals, moving its placement on the Perk Poster. The conflict results in not being able to select the perk (it appears a greyed out Strength Training). I was able to drag the Condition from True Perks over into your patch to resolve the issue, but you may want to update it.
Additionally, some people have been reporting that Sniper 1 in True Perks prevents VAFS from working. I was also able to just delete the effect in True Perks that gave the "Sniper Slow Time" spell to resolve that issue. However, that perk rank now has no benefit. The only idea I could think of would be just amplify the VAFS effect using scopes and while sneaking at the cost of greater AP/sec.
Hi, sadly this doesn't work on my side, I have respected your load order but two skills remain unselectable. I have no other perk mod and I placed the whole group at the end of my LO to test, still bugged.
I reinstalled, the only trouble I have now is that the skill beneath four leaf clover isn't selectable. AND it has the same icon as four leaf clover, except greyed (I don't have the requirements, though I do.) anY idea what might be causing this ?
Check on True perks forum. "This is caused by a mod conflict, you have something modifying perks after this mod. That mod is moving the perk back to it's original place, and leaving nothing in the perk poster, which results in a filler icon. Move True Perks below that mod. If that doesn't work, it needs a patch."
My advice is disable mods until you will get rid of a problem to pinpoint mod that is responsible.
True Perks sniper perk adds slow time effect while aiming. VAFS has setting that disables it while other slow timme effects are active, jet for example. I wasn't using this perk myself. I will try to fix it in next version by disabling sniper perk slow time
Sorry to bother you again. But I updated it, and now it's not being recognized by the game. And opening Wrye bash, it says..
"Invalid TES4 versionsThe following plugins have a TES4 version that isn't recognized as one of the standard versions (0.95, 1.0). This is undefined behavior. It can possibly be corrected by resaving the plugins in the Creation Kit. • vafs_true_perk_patch.esp: 1.100000"

Thanks again for the patch!
The non selectable skills are armourer and four leaf clover (at least the icons are the same, not sure about the actual names)
The other one though I can't seem to find the source of...
Doing a clean install, I'll keep you posted !

Nvm, I'm giving up. Thanks for your help !
Follow-up though, will this need to be updated for Version 7 or True perks? I am holding off on updating it
