    Hi they need to go in fallout4.ini and not fallout4prefs.ini afaik, according to this

      Seems like they changed that over at Step Mods.
      If you look at it now, it definitely says that the modification should be made in the fallout4prefs.ini file.

      Also, my game's fallout4prefs.ini file already contained the setting "bSAOEnable=1" under the [Display] section, and it was enabled.

      hmm well idk maybe they changed it after with the "next gen " patch but i think also custom.ini work (at least i think haven't tried in a while) and to be honest i should probably update the mod to just be an ini with an empty esp flagged esl like my better taa ini
