The fortunate son was actually just the brotherhood arrival music I changed did originally replace the voice to with good morning Vietnam and the fly over sound was originally just a far away one I just changed it to make it seam like one is flying past sounds good from a distance
The sounds work very well, they come and go (doppler effect) just right... I haven't heard the internal cockpit sounds yet. Will report what I think on that later.
My only criticism - The choppers sound a bit quiet, even when flying directly over. In real life a military helo flying nearby at about 100 and lower feet is LOUD, you can almost feel it, even civilian helos are louder. I'm not saying to make it as loud as real life cos our ears would probably bleed, but I'd love to see a version that ups the volume about, say, 10-20% more. Up to you, tho, just my opinion.
OK, got to listen to the inner virtibird cockpit sound and the comms really makes it. Now it sounds like the Brotherhood has constant comms going between them (from control to other units) and really adds a real-world co-ordinated feel. This comms chatter alone even without the chopper sounds would add a huge amount of immersion to the default virtibird sounds. This was probably something Bethesda intended to add for atmosphere. Very realistic. Very immersive. Seriously it's that good!
A suggestion, I'd make the background comms chatter a little more varied or at least longer so I don't hear the loop. travelling from the Prydwyn to Sanctuary you will hear the loop where someone says "There you are!" It needs to be a less distinct (in fact I'd just remove those words) , so it sounds more random and new even if it isn't, I hope you understand what I mean.
Amazing what just the right SOUNDS can do for immersion. Very good.
