This e update made my building menu vanish. I lost all menus for mods and such. I figure it was because you moved the radio from one menu to another.

And yes, it was this mod and this update.  Warn users that installing the update will bork up their saved files, although a new save will probably be okay.

BTW, rolling back to the previous version brought my menu items back in build mode, thankfully.

Why does the built radio make a sound in the ear instead of in the space, the BUG?

    Hi!
Really love the mod, Works like a charm. I was just wondering, How am I supposed to Rename the radio station? What Line of code do I change? (If any at all) I would pry in the files myself, Only issue being. I have over a 50 song playlist that I don't wanna kill off.
Also my playlist for the radio station is: This Playlist here.

Without using the creation kit and renaming the station itself within the mod, there is no single line of code you can change. Sry.

The mod worked well for me, it took me longer to find a free audio converter. I already have my OST list of movies and games ;)

Thanks for the latest update for your mod. Your Drumlin Diner fix - which works - solidifies my opinion that this is the best custom radio out there.

Hello Fellow Nexans, I come seeking aid!

I had this mod working for several weeks, but alas, it is no longer functioning. The radio station shows but it is not playing my .wav files. I did not edit the mod, and can't find any conflicts, so I'm not sure what went wrong. I tried to find the issue in XEdit but could not solve the problem myself. If anyone has advice, I would sincerely appreciate it!

      1.  Do you have the current version of the mod?  The bug fix is supposed to be having a radio play constantly somewhere out in the Commonwealth.  In this case, I have a radio stuffed into a counter at Drumlin Diner.  So the only thing I can think of is do you have anything editing Drumlin?  If so, put this mod after whatever you have editing Drumlin.

      2.  You might also consider converting the .wav files to .xwm files.  They are a lot smaller and that format is what the game converted the sample files into automatically when packing the .BA2 archive.  The game will play either but .xwm seems to be the preferred format.

      3.  Can you load a previous save where the Radio was still working?

Hello RivenForest! Thanks for your speedy reply.

3 - Yes the Radio was still working in older saves

1 - Upgrading to the newest version fixed the issue, even in newer saves :)

2- Sheesh! I did not realize how bloated .wav's are. They are crazy big. I'll make sure to convert them later today.

Oof, actually it is not working in newer saves. My mistake! But the newest version should prevent the issue from occurring if I continue from an older save, correct? Or does the fix require a new game?

Should prevent it from occurring again.  Let me know if that's not the case.

Meant to say also, you might look at the other Radio mod I have.  It uses a different frequency and shuffles the music instead of a static playthrough.  Same principle as the original.  Lol..you can also run them both at the same time if you wanted to but depending on how far along the newer saves are this would be a way to get your music back without having to back track.

This is the mod I downloaded since July 2023, and not working in my game and my son's.

Think it is really yours. :)

Don't worry, just do your best.

Is it possible to install multiple instances of this mod at the same time, and have each use different playlists?

It wouldn't work.  The radio is set to a specific "frequency".    You'd just overwrite the next iteration of the mod.

To contradict myself...sort of.  I just added a new mod with a shuffle script that is on a different frequency for the radio station so it is possible to run both mods at once.  This one will remain a static playlist while you could add another 50 songs that will be randomized by the script.  Both stations will show up in your pip-boy.  You can find the new mod here.

In other words, if you have the mod and then save another copy with a different frequency, you're good to go. Offhand, those liking a randomized playlist for their banging tunes should work this as many times as they like with the shuffle version, those liking a set order use the first, and those liking both use, well, both! Just keep track of your frequencies. Oh, if you do set up and submit your own station mods using these as the framework, you damn well need to give credit to RivenForest.

True.  However, if you go back and use the method I showed in the videos on how to cram 4 songs into one .xwm file that gives you the ability to have 200 songs, or more if you cram them,  in each mod.  Granted they would always be in blocks of 4 but you could generate a somewhat unique playlist that way.  And between the 2  mods thats 400 songs at roughly 4 minutes each.  That's over 24 hours of music before you'd have to hear a song again.

      Think I'm ok with that.

      And thanks for the support!
