So. This is a great mod, and I really like it it's just one issue, a minor one but still.
I basically always like to at least for a while enable all my objectives in games like these so I can pick and choose on the fly so to speak, through the map usually but in this instance in Fallout 4 I have a slight depth-perception handicap where I can't make up necessarily where the objective on the HUD is.
Is it 10 meters away? Is it a thousand? So I then even with this mod too have to check my pipboy (or tac.tab) map.
I was wondering would it be possible to add ranges in meters or so, to the hud 3d indicators?
In the base-game, there's a limit of 20(ish?) quest markers at a time. After that, further markers will still appear on the map, but they won't appear in the world or on the compass.
Does this mod fix that? If not, is it possible for you to fix?
Well that's odd, because I started a new game last week with all the DLC and the infinite range version of this mod... and it's working just fine. According to FO4Edit it's just changing a single game value (fFloatQuestMarkerMaxDistance) In the infinite range version it changes the distance from 2000.0 to 2000000000.0 Why don't you open yours in FO4Edit and see what it's doing. Maybe the mod just didn't get enabled.
This is nice for some but what we really need for immersion is a mod like this:
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30930/?
It sets the distance you need to be from a location before it appears on your compass. This prevents your compass from getting cluttered and it improves immersion by making you have to search and explore to find new locations.
hey, thanks for this been using it a while and I love how I can keep my eyes on the screen rather than on my compass! I was wondering if there was a way to do the same but for custom markers you place on the map? cheers!
No problem! Thank you for enjoying it! I have no idea, I'm not too good with the Creation Kit yet so I have no idea how to do things like that. >< When I did this forever ago, I used Fo4edit, and just changed one variable. I'm actually surprised it still works. I have no idea. I might look into it - but right now I'm working on a worldspace (an actual big project) so my time has been taken up by that Sorry!
Hey man, love the idea, but I am wondering if there is a way how to tell you how far are you from the target and not only 100 I would prefer 1000+ Any idea if it is possible? Thx D13
a) Sorry for the late reply b) Don't call me "man", please
Now, thank you for enjoying the mod! At the time of making this, I kindof wanted the same, but I have not looked into it in forever. I'm not sure how all this stuff works in the Creation Kit, I'm still getting used to unfamiliar territory. Right now, I'm also working on a worldspace - so I don't have too much time on my hands. Before you ask, yes, I can make worlds but God help me when it comes to coding anything. XD Sorry, I hope I can look into it at some time.
