what's the difference between your mod and "Louder guns and player hit sounds plus optional cool sound replacer" whom you say your mod wouldn't exist without?
Just want to say "THANK YOU". Yes, big thank you. Some mods sound loud enough and other aren't. Tried to fix this - no result. Even the same mod, with same files, but different versions sounds really different (beta version sounds loud enough, while final is quiet, despite them using the same audio files with same properties in fo4edit).
I was looking for something EXACTLY like this. I didn't want to replace the vanilla sounds, just make them louder. But could you please also add explosion sounds? Grenades, mines, molotovs... Also, I'm not really a fan of the louder player hit sounds, could you please make them normal 1.0x again? Still, thanks for this mod! Endorsed.
I didnt belive it worked, been struggling with low sounds for ages, and the FO4 edit method never worked. And was juuuuust about to run my guns through the Audacity db increase and repackage hell, and then you saved me... I cannot thank you enough!
This mod added some bark for the EFB Springfield M14. I'm not sure why the standard muzzle sound is quieter than its suppressed sound, but this helped significantly for that mod. Much appreciated.
Awesome. Wasn't sure when I was fumbling around in xEdit checking for conflicts. I noticed competition with Bullet Impact Overhaul v1.5 and BBMR Loud Firing Sounds.
BBMR changes AudioCategoryWPNplayer & AudioCategoryWPNnpc static volume modifier to 1.0 (not sure if your setting is better)
Bullet Impact Overhaul raises a few entries within the Static Attenuation of Sound Desriptors. I'm not sure whether that's makes it louder or quieter.
Since not everything overlaps between these three mods, and I use Binaural 3D Audio, so I use the hotfix provided by Bullet Impact Overhaul, I thought that putting this mod above these other two might be the way to go, but I might want to edit, to carry over some of your changes, to work better with these mods. Sometimes I can understand what I'm doing in xEdit, and I'm clueless and don't mess with things. I'm halfway decent at following directions in 'simple' english. lol
I want the best bang I can get as that's the one thing that kills me in Fallout. lol
Just as a tip, if this mod STILL isn't loud enough for you, I recommend using the mod this is based one (linked in the description page). He has options for 2x and 4x. The only downside is that you'll need to manually delete his included sound files if you don't want to use them.
I took a look at that mod, and didn't know if deleting the sound files would mess up that mod, as I didn't want that part of it.
I'm about to give yours a try, as soon as Complex Sorter is done, to see how it sounds. I actually don't want my ears to ring, smidge of an exaggeration for what I said earlier. Still I don't want a popgun big bore rifle sounding like a subsonic .22 short being fired with a suppressor.
I look forward to a satisfying result with your settings.

(can confirm it took my whispering M2 agency shotgun and Complex MP5 to perfect levels)

They need to make my ears ring when my gun goes boom. lol
