Yes and no. Updating from an earlier version to 5.0+ in the main mod still won't fix it. The built in feature though should make it so that for any future updates you won't need this.
So if you're on 5.0.x and it's currently working, this isn't needed. If you're updating, you might have use of it.
can soft-confirm this, installed on current save and it didn't play. almost ignored the mod but I wanted more variety, so i found this fix. still works, and is very appreciated.
Updated to 1.1.0 adding a check against the version feature in 5.0.x of the original mod. Essentially will restart it one last time if radio didn't properly update itself to version 5.
Also fixed an error in the code that'd sometimes make it so that running "FixRadio" wouldn't work.
This is a very simple lightweight mod that runs a quest that restarts the Diamond City Radio. Then it set itself in a "stopquest" stage where you can easily write "runquest FixRadio" and it'll do it all over if needed.
As for other stations. Those would have to to specifically patched for to fix.

Have a nice christmas time and a happy new year!
Thank you @Exoclyps!
As it might still be needed on an ongoing save, true.

edit: had to stop and start the diamondcityradio quest to get it to finally kick off. Fallout 4 troubles, am I right? lol
