    Ok, reporting from Nuka World.
The second one that ONLY affects the environments worked as intended with the map issue in Power Armor mode resolved.
Thank you for the fix, much appreciated.

I appreciate mods like this, even if I don't use them, for people who are gaming on older hardware. Speaking of which, out of curiosity what specs are people commenting here running the game on? Saw someone say they're used to it running at 10 - 12 fps?!

My guess is they are trying to play on CPU graphics.
This is going on a 9 year old game, so that is pretty much the only explanation.
Won't be long before GOG gets their hands on this title (10 years).

Added:  I still run this game on Ultra settings with 1070 Mini card - and that card was released little more than 6 months after the game released (i.e. 2016).   Still running strong.

    Reporting from Point Lookout!

No problems with the mod, working as intended, no issues with maps in Power Armor mode either.

Great, has "Nuka World" map problem gone yet? 'cause I've looked into it and the mod was even affecting that 4k map of Nuka World so I removed it (the 4x4 texture) so the game will be loading the original now.

    Update:

I used the second one where it only downgrades the environment details but kept characters, guns, clothing and armors purdy.

Encountered one hiccup tho, in Nuka World, while I was using Power Armor, the world map was made VERY TINY when I checked it. making it hard to fast travel. Other than that, it works as intended and my PC is not making sounds like it was going to sortie from an aircraft carrier.

Much obliged for the update brother... I'm using the FullUI & some map mods that I didn't notice - You can try removing the "Interface" (where the maps/icons) are located from the BA2 file pack (of this mod) by opening it with the Archive2.exe stored in the CreationKit Tools folder of the game directory (that is if you have it).

Here's how it goes in where the Mod is stored select the BA2 pack (Of this Mod) Right-Click Open with (navigate to) "Fallout 4/CreationKit[Version]/Tools/Archive2/Archive2.exe" and wait for it to load (it won't take long) search for the word "interface" select the first "Textures/interface" line now with the scroller thing on the side go straight down to its last then Shift-Click its last (this should select all "Textures/interface") hit delete then File > Save done exit.

This should exclude those files and you can do this with anything and see how much of a quality you're willing to give up for the sake of framerate.

Sorry, all that PC lingo just went in one ear and out the other for me... me dumb, me kennot bren.
I'm keeping this mod as is anyway since it only affects Nuka World while in my Power Armor. When I went to Far Harbor, the maps interface in Power Armor mode worked normally.

Planning to play the Point Lookout mod with this on to see if the same issue with the map in PA mode popped up...

Hell, I might consider downloading this just as a stylistic choice. In its own way, it looks pretty cool!

Yeah, and it can be used for mod testing for fluid framerates as the devs do.

*gazes at the file size in disbelief*

    That is absolutely AMAZING!

I get about 7 to 12 FPS on average during the day (sometimes 14 if it isn't sunny outside), so I was really tempted to try Performance Textures by Nero1024 but the massive file size was keeping me back. I think I can live with what I have (I'm used to it now), but the temptation to try this is just too much. I'll give the Environment version a spin and report back on how it goes.

Edit: I originally confused Cutesie's works with a different texture-related pack by another creator. Sorry about that.

    Update:

Okay, here we go. I started my tests from the interior of the Cambridge Polymer Labs and then weaved my way out towards what I call "Kelogg's pond", which is near Hardware Town. Started with night and then changed to a sunny day, because that's what usually gives my computer fits. It was the exterior FPS that showed the most change, so that is what I'll be reporting on.

    (1) FPS check with my usual (the lowest game) textures
Result: Night FPS was 16-20, Day FPS was 6-15 with extremely strong fluctuation. Control was rocky at best.

    (2) FPS check with Ultra Lowend Textures (the Environment version)
Result: Night FPS was 20-22, Day FPS was 20-22 with minimal fluctuation except during combat. Control was very smooth and the game responded quickly.

Just for fun, I activated some video recording software during two additional tests. Curiously, the results stayed pretty much the same both times.

All things considered, I quite liked the experience. Bodies of water look pretty bleak with either texture set, and I could easily become accustomed to the funky trees (which are great for spotting lurking Gulpers!), but the night sky being covered in pale rectangles instead of stars will take some getting used to. I will probably experiment a bit.

Truly appreciate you sharing your experience, Sister/brother - You can easily play around with it and exclude whatever... for instance, "Sky" go to where you've Installed the BA2 file of this mod right click > Open with > Archive2.exe (located in the "CreationKit\Tools\Archive2" folder of your game directory) Once opened and all textures loaded hit/click the search tab and write "Sky" and all "Textures\Sky" must go by selecting from the top then moving the scroller thing (on the side of the window) to the last "Textures\Sky" then Shift-Right-click the last one now all "Textures\Sky" files are selected then delete then File > Save exit - Deleting any of them (the mod texture files) let the game uses its own files so go for it.

Emmmm, sir? You can tolerate 7-12 FPS to play games. I think New Vegas is more suitable for you. That Fallout game can be played on any computer.Maybe that frame number can reach 60FPS to protect your eyes

No offense but that game didn't age well and most frankly (IMHO) sucks... 7 to 12 fps is nothing compared to how I've played the witcher 3 since its release but true low framerate can cause visual/sight problems so be careful not to contract your eyes for too long - Less scrutiny more looking away far far away to relax those eye muscles.
