For clarification, I believe this chooses the chance for the critical death to appear from energy weapons, aka the critical effect. After installing it through NMM go to your esp section and select the option you want, as this installs several esps. (from what I gathered testing it with the 100% it seems to work as intended however the alien pistol does not work, and that may be because of something in the alien pistols programming in which I will try to find out myself.
For those of you who understand how to use FO4 Edit you can edit this mods percentage to critical effect yourself.

The mod works as intended. As you said, this installs several plugins. You have to choose only one and disable the others. Nowadays you can even add ESL flag to the plugin header, to save up on load order slots. As for the alien pistol, I addressed this issue in one of my mods(mainly because of your post in this topic), also fixed the legendary cryo and incendiary mods to have the critical effects on death. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/45407?tab=description
This is perhaps the most disappointing and unreliable mod I have ever downloaded. Let me explain: I installed the mod with the 100% disintegration option selected, and it has changed NOTHING. My weapons STILL disintegrate enemies the same amount as before, and it makes me wish I never downloaded this mod. I have been searching for a mod to disintegrate enemies 100% of the time with energy weapons, but to no avail.
If possible I'd prefer something like 0.001-0.01% chance instead of never, so it almost never happens, but will sometimes. Then it would be super cool and rare when it does happen.
