This is a good mod , which should be in the original mod in my opinion.
The handle of the bayonet looks a bit too dark it gives the impression that the textures are missing but it’s really for nitpicking.
The only suggestion I will have is to make another file of the mod but in dagger version rather than machete, I know that this bayonet is considered as a short sword but I find that the animatons of a machete are akward considering the size of the blade . I tried to do it myself with Xedit but my skills are very limited.
Whoever created that model did their homework - those two little notch lines in the handle (between the screws) come from it actually being a British pattern 1913 bayonet. The lines are purely to identify it as different from their otherwise identical pattern 1907 bayonet. Britain ordered vast numbers from many makers including two in the US (Remington & Winchester). When the US entered the war they just used the same pattern but called it the M1917 - some even have British markings crossed out as they were originally made to fulfil P1913 orders.
This is also why American M1917 rifles are called Enfields - just like the bayonets, the Brits had some of their Enfield rifle orders fulfilled via US contracts too, and the American M1917 rifle is just a continuation of the existing Enfield rifle production lines, but made for the US army. The only difference being the Enfields' .303 British chambering was slightly altered to match the American .30-06 Springfield rifle's ammo.
