Greetings. Just a question: is the mod compatible with Project Valkyrie?

So I've finished up a build at this location and even though there's only 3 people at it just now there are some observations.

1 - I destroyed the airship and it does come down as normal, and the rubble is not deleteable in any way. Would be great, as others have said, to have this be ... not so permanently in the way. The problem in that area comes after coming back to the game the next day and a small amount - not a huge bit - of the rubble that had been cleared by scrapping is back. Notably this includes the BUS and CAR along with the piles of rubble directly by the old entrance to the settlement zone, and almost all the barrels scattered around the wreckage. It's quite selective about what things come back, there were no large crates and no piles of rubble/debris which can be cleared by Scrap Everything's means, but those barrels were all over the place. I kept my build in the structure provided, save for the broken wall which I put a 2 story entertainment area over. I didn't see any further respawned rubble in the facility, but there was definitely more piled up next to the structure, under the broken wall hallway, which certainly inhibits easy motion through that area on the ground.

2 - Sandboxing is quite weird for animals placed on the map from one of my farm resource mods. I put down several cats and dogs on the 2nd floor with dog houses and cat toys as attractors for them. And as with some other very large non-vanilla areas (and vault 88) the animals immediately started wandering away from their attraction area, moved all the way down the corridor with the blasted open wall (where prime was?) and then apparently double back at some point. However, the dogs all wind up in the water by the sunken warehouse, and I have no idea where the cats went. (my game also was shut down when I accidentally deleted part of the airport terminal after an ungodly amount of work, so I didn't add them back.)

3 - Also animal related sandboxing, cattle that come with settlers will ONLY sandbox in the original build area and will actively TELEPORT to it if brought out to the barn where I've got more cattle that I placed manually. It seemed to want to be at its bathtub feeder, but no then it just vanished and showed up inside where the building's original doorway entrance and the bus is. Tried placing it where the dogs had wandered and nearer the airport's street entrance, also teleported directly into the original build area.

So there are definitely some issues going on here. I imagine that it being nearly a year since you've released this mod there won't be much more happening with it, but those are things that are making it hard to use the extended areas effectively. Since the wreckage isn't going to be worth building as I have no idea whether npcs will even bother walking through it. Also since I did not side with the BoS, all the locked doors are also completely undeletable as they're locked to whatever behavior script the place has. This makes it pretty inconvenient to get from one side of the facility to the other as there are literally only 4 doors in the entire area and all but one of them on one side of the building.

Anyway it's still been fun building in it, just frustrating with the presence of an obvious area where animals won't go, interrupting my settlement functionality by standing in the school room ;)

      1. I had mentioned that this was intended for BOS only playthroughs. Because honestly, I don't know how to handle all the precombine stuff when a whole second set of airport props will appear when the airship comes down, so I just did not bother.

2,3. The sandboxing is probably borked because the sandbox area is specifically only for the original terminal building and that bit of street next to it. Because I wanted to keep the settlers out of the BOS building area. But I completely understand if you wanted the whole airport after you destroyed the BOS. I was just not able to make the entire airport properly usable because of all the layers of props that only appear pre-, mid- and post- BOS oqqupancy. I just could not figure out how to handle it.
I'd be up to trying again, but these stupid precombines are the death of me. Even the airport LOD mesh still shows the broken building.

I've been looking for a mod that includes the garage that doesn't break the game, had hopes for this one until I saw that seems to be the one part of the area it DOESN'T include!

Interesting mod, but the settlement has a very small built limit. Too small to really be useful for me.

    Did you break the precombines?

I didn't make any new ones. But I didn't notice any weird issues in the final release.
I did break them while I had been working on it, but then I redid the entire thing and nothing bad happened. So I think it should be fine.

I would definitely swap this mod in (at the expense of a couple other locations which use a common mod to expand their settlement abilities) if it could come with a 'post destruction' prydwen on the ground. I don't side with the Brotherhood so the chances of me having it in the air are really low. It always bothered me that even the freaking BEACH isn't part of the boundaries of this location. They really didn't want you building anything of significance here huh? Tracking, crossing fingers for a future run where I can enjoy a much-expanded airport :D

I have not touched the layers, or anything that has to do with the destroyed prydwen, EXCEPT for one door in the "Liberty Prime" room that was part of the "institute Attack" layer, and would be replaced for another door. So I had to delete that. Other than that it should work.
But the bigger issue is that if you were to build things right where the prydwen crashes, it won't be removed and you can't scrap it without noclipping, and everything that you had built on the prydwen would float in the sky.

Generally for my runs I won't touch the Airport until I've destroyed the ship, and/or finished the game up otherwise, so building there wouldn't really be a bother. Would installing it after that point break it or be weird though? (also lol I build stuff in the air all the time, because it stays in the air how convenient :D ) My current build there is really broken but I have yet to figure out why (I keep seeing nonexistent phantom walls and such but can't seem to get them to go away, I think my game crashed at some point and this happened). So I wouldn't be adding to my current run, but I really do want to see the much expanded area. Next time, I shall install this one!

There shouldn't be any issue added by my mod if you start building there after the prydwen is down.
You'll of course have less space because of a wreck, but the settlement layer won't be changed or broken. the settlement also has an AutoOwn trigger. So whatever enables or disables the workbench should be overwritten by my trigger.

Exciting. Now I can build here before the BoS to show up in the CW. So damn good !

Also, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens when the Prydwen is put down...

May I ask why not including the three-story garage in it ?

Honestly, I never even thought about the garage. I never entered it, ever. So it just wasn't on my radar.

I remember RangerDave made a great settlement at Boston Airport including this garage. I suggest you have a look at it, it is a banger and makes you want to use it too.

So can I use this workbench without joining the BOS or do I need to do a BOS playthrough?

Oh it has an auto-owned trigger. Just walk into the side doors and it's all yours.
