This mod does not play nice AT ALL with vortex. There are instructions that are located in a file that vortex DOES NOT download. I downloaded the file manually and extracted the missing folder into the folder that vortex installed it to. Inside the new folder is a xml file that contains the necessary instructions to make the mod usable.
TL;DR:
Add these lines to Documents\my games\Fallout4\Fallout4.ini [Pipboy] fPAEffectColorR=0 fPAEffectColorG=1 fPAEffectColorB=1
Also in the same ini file change "sResourceDataDirsFinal=strings\" to "sResourceDataDirsFinal=strings\, textures\, meshes\, scripts\, sound\, music\, misc\, shadersfx\, interface\"
For anyone who wants to see letters etc in Power Armor Pip Boy change those lines: fPipboyScreenEmitIntensityPA=fPipboyScreenDiffuseIntensityPA=You can take those values:fPipboyScreenEmitIntensity=1.2500fPipboyScreenDiffuseIntensity=0.150 These are from default Pip Boy and lets you see something not like default PA verision.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong here the main hud is still Amber but my compass and menu are the right blue colors I want but the HP/AP, etc are still all yellow. Could someone help? I know this is a really old thread, thanks.
For anyone looking to change the amber color pipboy while in power armor this is an awesome tutorial http://gamesas.com/change-power-armor-pipboy-menu-color-with-this-ini-t395873.html I also edited my Fallout4prefs fModMenuEffectHighlightPAcolor to match the color of the HUD so the compass icons changed, too. I tried this with a new and a save game and it worked perfectly. I posted pics to the images on this mod as proof.
Forgive my suspicion but I don't see how this can work together with clean PA HUD when the ini tweaks are directly conflicting with theirs. Also why make a "Vortex" download link when it does not play well with Vortex at all? Should be easy enough to clean up these instructions?
