All I want is the light to stop turning off because the game thinks you want that and I can't seem to find it anywhere... anyone know if that's part of this mod? Description makes no mention of it so I'm guessing "no" but it never hurts to ask
Old comment but for anyone else who wants to know... no, it's not the mod that turns off the pipboy light, it's the game itself that does it and yeah, it's super annoying.
хороший мод, спасибо, но есть один минус, мод не работает если у вас установлен съемный питбой. я попробывал решить эут проблемну но пак безрезультатно. просто я один из тех кому не очень нравится компьютер на руке
For those who only play in third person view, you can try this way : (make sure you make an original .esp backup because this is only experimental)
1- Open " TruePipBoyLight.esp " using fo4edit 2- Expand " truepipboylight.esp " 3- Expand the " Armor Addon " 4- Click " PipBoyAA " editorID and scroll to the bottom - Find : " PipBoy1stattachLight [ARTO:01000001] " 5- Change it to " AttachLightTest [ARTO:000BC268] " 6- Save edited .esp , backup and try to see the result. (Hope it works)
This method fix position of light emit in third person (Before : emit behind player's back, After: emit from player's pipboy hand) without need turnoff/on light or change view 1st/3rd view. (but still no fix for flashlight in 1st person view) For front direction flashlight, it need custom 3rd person animation.
Hi, please fix the 3rd person view so that the flashlight is useful and not just shining out of pipboy in the wrong direction. It would be great to have the old version of the flashlight around the player for 3 person and the flashlight shining forward from 1 person, but it seems impossible, or?
There's a crash issue listed in BUGS section, and turns out that the problem is that the gobo texture is not in correct size: 1080x1080 rather than 1024x1024. Here's a fixed Gobo texture file
The mod indeed works on VR with one major problem, and it's because the light is twisted 90 degrees. So instead of facing forward it goes to the right.
As you can move your hand in VR it is possible to light up your path ahead but it is uncomfortable.
So there is, by any chance, a way to fix this?
The light the mod makes is nice and the shadow casting function adds to immersion, so will be very beneficial to the VR community.
I may have a conflicting mod, but this one doesn't change the 360 light into an directional one. I can see the gobo texture in front of me but the light spreads in every direction.
@Exo You mean running FO4Edit for conflict detection against a full mod list? I used to know how to do this. What other tips do you have for mod loads?
I run the LOOT included with MO2, which my years ago MO2 experience seems to tell me is lazy.. but I continue to feel like I'm missing a lot. I think it's due to the fact that out of my list of 50 something mods not one conflicts with anything, mostly patches.
I'm glad I've stumbled across someone volunteering their experience.
@Exo What's this? A person that offers advice unasked for but then vanishes at specific inquiry? Shame, and more shame that you share part of our name. Or maybe I'm wrong, let me try: Not casually correcting strangers in an awkward manner should be basic communication skills. People are so fascinating! :D

Note: I use NAC X with Ghost ENB.

If you do, then you'd know right away what's conflicting.
