Even better just take a look at the lowered drawbridges mod here on nexus. Make it so the explosion finally shakes loose that dam raider boat and drops the drawbridge down so it is easy to cross. Sink the raider boat those raiders need a bath.

but being serious good idea, one of the major reasons why blowing up the insitute is bad least for the outside, who knows who lived there, what innocents would be harmed etc :D

i like this idea, but i think it would be better to occupy the institute instead of blowing it up. i get the vanilla story was a means to an end, but it was ok the first playthrough, but after that you start thinking that what if you could take over the institute within all factions, there would be no need to kill or exile everyone from the institute, there would still be a fight with some synths in the complex and some innocents would die, but largely people would be spared and the institute could serve a better purpose given an option to not destroy the institute location, i know there is a mod that offers a peaceful resolution, but there is only one direction that will lead to that ending, it would be great to see multiple potential endings for all factions to end the story in a peaceful manner to not blow up the institute location as it could be used as a location to help aid and cure the people on the surface..

yessssss I've been wanting this for sooo longgggg, its so annoying getting around after the explosion takes out that one bridge
btw would it be possible to do one for the brotherhood airport, either by getting rid of the prydwen debris or restoring everything there to how it was before it was blown up? I use a mod to expand the buildspace of the settlement there but the giant debris pile kinda makes it useless -
Does this work by preventing the explosion, or by simply preventing the physical changes to the landscape?
If the former, it would make me feel less guilty about placing a settlement at the USS Riptide, or about extending Hangman's toward the river. :) -
Any impact on Arlen Glass visiting the crater? Could it throw the game into confusion or does he instead go to his old house, or not go at all?
