Fantastic ENB / Reshade combo - nice work fella! I've been using various ENB presets, most recently Decent Plus, which is great, but I think this tops it in terms of "realism". I'm using your latest version (1.4.1) - any news on when the new version will be out? I understand you're gradually transitioning the effects to ENB rather than rely on reshade - so how will the new version differ? Cheers!!!
Why do you tell us your monitor settings in the description? You do realize, I hope, that your monitor settings have nothing to do with the screenshots or how this will look to anyone else on their monitors. Screenshots are captured by your PC hardware BEFORE the image ever reaches your screen.
I just want to make sure I'm not missing something here. If I follow your install instructions, then after step 4 I have Reshade.fx from step 3 extracted from your High preset. So far so good. But then if I proceed with step 5, the "Realistic Lights Shadows Color and Detail" overwrites the Reshade.fx with SweetFX version of Reshade.fx which only contains one line telling it to load Sweet.fx instead, thus discarding anything you might have done in Reshade files and to my understanding causing it to disregard the ReShade folder as well.
Is this intended? If yes why (i.e. wouldn't it be better to not include the files that get overwritten/not used in latter steps in instructions thus avoiding any confusion)? If not, what's the correct install procedure?
I can't confirm how without digging into the coding and it's been a while since I've played with the Fallout 4 shaders and as i'm at work cannot do this now, but when i revisit this mod (which is soon) i'll try to explain in more detail.
I'll be updating this soon, but having to write everything from scratch and the new update shouldn't use Reshade or Realistic lights at all, it'll be standalone.
I'll be revising this soon as have a lot of work to do on this yet, so I'll let you know if i uncover anything during the update.
[EDIT] Could be an AO issue from Reshade trying to occlude the cross hair and since the latest update you may be running in-game HBAO along with Reshade so you should either disable HBAO in-game or if you prefer HBAO try entering the Reshade folder and open McFX.cfg with notepad or something similar, then change #define USE_AMBIENTOCCLUSION from 1 to 0 then save the file.
This may not be the issue, but upon quick glance it's the only thing that jumps out at me.
My game starts in a window instead of full screen. I read the description that says "Remember to change your Prefs ini screen size to match your monitors resolution. Instructions found in readme contained in preset download." There's NO README in the present download. Any help? How do I change this?
Sorry it's been a while, I'm currently working on GTA V at the moment. I'll check the current preset release for this tonight and make any changes needed.
Sounds like you may be using DSR, etc? In any case you may need to change from whatever the setting is currently set to, to full screen instead.
[EDIT] I've edited the main page to help you with this. Let me know if you're still having trouble.
Got this working and it looks great. Good work. But if I personally wanted to add more 1) depth of field, and 2) sun glare, how would I go about doing it? I really appreciate any help you can give.
Glad you like. Sorry for the late reply. Depth of field can be adjusted through the enb menu in-game by pressing shift+enter. Expand the depth of field drop down at the top right and adjust as necessary. Aperture tends to increase the blur amount you may be looking for.
Sun glare can be adjusted through the current enb. There is the option under the ENB menu section 'Sky' to increase Sun stats at the very bottom of the drop down. Most of the time it's OK, but others have problems. However there are also alternative means of doing this through the game engine using the in-game console. I can't remember off hand what the console command is, but i'm sure you'll find it easy enough with a quick web search.
Hope this helps.
For all others wondering where 1.5 is, i'm having to wait for the new enb version as it was based on it, but too glitchy. All in good time.

Hi,
No problem, but just in case you missed both switches...
If I remember correctly, this version has two switches. One is to untick use effect in the Enb menu which is seen by pressing shift+enter in game. The other (Reshade) is toggled with either delete, f12 or scroll lock, but I can't remember which one until I check as I'm currently working on a version without it.
I'll have a look and edit the post when I get time.
it was scroll lock lol and f12 was the other one, thank you.
