This might be a dumb question but I am new to the modding space. I was using this patch for a current save and cannot load back into my save; "This save relies on content... Backpacks of the Commonwealth-eXoPatch.esp". Is there any workaround for these errors? When I ignore the warning and continue my game crashes
Been quite busy lately so haven't really had the time to check yet (will do in the next couple of days), but I do imagine the patch will be mostly redundant.
That said, his fix for the "Sneak Bug" didn't fix the loop (which also hurt performance) but just removed the perk involvement I think, unless he updated that again. Will have to double-check to be sure.
Assuming he fixed that and the Navmesh got updated so your followers can actually reach the terminal, my patch will be redundant.
Thank you for this patch. Silly mistakes on my part. I fixed the script to make sure it stops after a few seconds, and removed the perk entirely if I remember correctly
Finally got around to check it. And yes, the main "issue" "Sneak Perk" is fixed as of 1.5.7.
My mod is now mostly redundant but did notice that my edits to the Navmesh and one of the Magazine perks still do serve some value.
Current version of the mod works just fine with 1.5.7. So if you have it installed, no need to remove it, but also not a huge need to add it anymore either.
Hello, thank you for this wonderful mod! :) Was wondering if you'd recommend we still use your mod with the older version of Backpacks of the Commonwealth? Or stop using your mod, and update to the latest version of Backpacks of the Commonwealth? Personally I'm still using your mod with the older version!
I assume, I hope correctly, this cleans up the dirty edits in the original/other weird jank that really should have been cleaned up in the first place?
Also, it might be helpful to comment on the original linking here, for new people who aren't aware they should look at the dependencies list to see if any patches have come out by other mod authors in case the mod has not been updated/conflicts with alternative mods.
This was the best thing I ever started doing, hunting down other people's patches.
So... is it worth keeping the original up to date, or can I continue to use this patch post-2024 BotC update? If it's a matter of upgrading to ensure ongoing functionality of this patch then I guess I'll have to update.
The fix unfortunately didnt work for me, whenever I sneak I still get spotted from miles away. so any help on how to manually clean my save file or manually remove the perk would be appreciated.
Hello, I have a question regarding this mod. I noticed my sneaking was completely broken and I remembered I went into the Backpack HQ but there aren't any backpack quests active and yet I'm experiencing these stealth issues. Is it possible to have the debuff after completing that section of the backpack mod?
Hey! Thank you for your quick reply, I appreciate it!
I installed it but the problem persists, however, I loaded a previous save (one without backpacks and survival mode) and the stealth was working correctly after enabling survival so perhaps the change of difficulty is not as important as I thought. Maybe the problem lies elsewhere. I started a new save with survival and backpacks from the very beginning and the problem isn't present there yet (6 hours into the new game). Maybe because I haven't started the backpack quest thingie.
If you're still unsure somehow, or for anyone scrolling that is, it's like across the street from Hester's Consumer Robotics in Boston. It's actually not too far away from the Castle.

But you could try reinstalling it and see if it makes a difference.
Just grab the Old Files. While redundant for 1.5.8 it still works with it.

Did you fix it anyhow?
While it worked for me, it obviously doesn't work for everyone. And 3 different plugins when it could all be one isn't optimal either :D
Also rebranded the mod as an "eXoPatch" and merged all the optional fixes into the main plugin.
