This mod is quite good, but the fact requiring PA parts to build a stock frame was just not my thing. My version here is the exact same like on this page, but excluding the PA required parts being necessary building the standalone frame.
PA building per se is untouched, you should still be able to craft those parts separately!
Thanks! This solved my movable PA dilemma. One thing bothered me a little tho.. that there was no preview icon and it was stashed in Furniture/Misc. So I did a small edit moving to Special menu in Workbench with a proper icon. Perhaps others might enjoy. cheers
Since i installed your Mod, i cant see the "cages" tab from wasteland workshop. So i uninstalled your mod. But the Power armor frames tab in building menue still exists and the cages are still missing Any idea what went wrong?
I just tested this out, and both Power Armor Frames and the Cages Category (along with all the cages, arenas, etc.) are craftable and available for me. Of all the standalone items that I added to this (which they are all Standalone) none of it would conflict with anything that Wasteland Workshop does, as it is all there for me.
My only guess is that this error that you are getting is being brought on by another mod, I have also uninstalled this mod in the past and had no problems at all with it still existing in anyway. I am at a loss of what to tell you, other than I really do not think it is this mod that is causing the problem.
Try looking into some of your other mods, anything that might add an entire category (Power, Furnature, etc.) into the Workstation? Those have been known to not allow any more main categories to be added. Also make sure that all of your "bigger" mods are up to date, as I had another person just recently have a problem with one of my mods and it actually wasn't my mod, it was another mod that was not up to date.
Oh no, I not offended at all, I want to try to help you also, but I don't have much information to go on.
My first suggestion is to make sure everything is up to date, all of your mods.
If they all are updated and you still have the Cages Category issue, then try removing what you deem are "suspicious mods" one at a time and testing in game after each removal to see if you can see the "Cages" Category in the Settlement Workshop, remembering which ones you have removed in the process. Once you remove one and the "Cages" Category appears again, then try reinstalling all the ones that you removed previously that had no effect (obviously do not reinstall the problem one). At least this is how I would handle your situation.
I do wish you luck in this process, it can be complicated especially if there is more than just one mod causing your problem.
this is great! it will really help me flesh-out my PA collection. i found NO frames whatsoever while i was in the level range where the t-51 spawns, so this will come in VERY handy.
Edit: Okay, I am an idiot. Couldn't find what the "Parts" were... Now re-reading the description (yay) I see Chem Station. Will try that now. </idiot>
BTW - Thanks for making this mod.
Update: Didn't appear in Chem Station menu, so changed load order. Placed directly under .esm section, and that worked. Will update if I discover any conflicts with that order.
Sorry about any inconvenience, glad you got it working.
I made this mod well before any update for FO4 was out, and I haven't updated it for the update (if it needs to be updated for the update). It still works fine like 8th or below in my load order, but I haven't updated the game yet maybe I will have an opportunity to on Friday, at least until then I know better how to fix some of these random issues that occur in my newer mods.
Maybe I'm missing something, but did this break recently? For some reason, I can't craft the helmet piece for the frame, but everything else works fine.
What specifically are you trying to craft that gives this error? The Helmet Mount Parts? Or a Helmet for Power Armor (like the actual armor)? If it is the actual armor what specific piece of armor is it?
Helmet Mount parts. FYI, it was on CraftablePAFrameOnlyHigherReq one. I pulled it and put in the standard one that does both, and now can make them. It seems like that one wasn't reading the pre-reqs or skills correctly, as I had more than enough mats to make it. Not sure what was up with it.
I can't see the other requirements to make the frame in workshop crafting box. Is there anyway to scroll down to see what else I need in game instead of hwat to come here and writing it down?
Not that I know of sadly, I just wanted it to use many items because it is a Power Armor Fame, the game apparently only filled out space for so many without the option to scroll on the Workshop Build mode apparently.

Power Armor Alternative Frame Build
You should override the regular *.esp file with my version, if you want to alter the PA frame building requirements.
Have fun.

Since my settlements don't lack resources, your mod will be a way to "fix" companions losing PA.
BTW you can change paint for the T60 to make it a regular crafted T60 armor

Seems really great, now that I've pulled my head out and understand how to use it.
