Really cool mod, goes well woth the x2 longer blocking animation mod. As for % of damage blocked, it would be really cool if it had an option for a formula along the lines of "base 70% + weapon weight". So if you block with a tiny 1 weight knife, you still get damaged a bunch but if you block with a 20 weight sledgehammer you barely feel it.
I'm slightly confused, this mod I found below suggests that blocking doesn't block all damage (to your PC) by default. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/51569
So is the change from this mod that it can now also affect NPCs?
Yes, by default the player only blocks 25% damage. In Vanilla the only thing that affects this are things like Cavalier and Braced, which affect your actorvalue "blockvalue" directly; things like Rooted that affect all incoming damage; etc.
So i am a little confused by this mod and i suppose as Kratos surmises, it's primarily for NPCs, because those bastards always cheat :D
Edit: it also occurs to me that one of the reasons NPCs are better than you in melee is because their blocks, in vanilla, seem to have about a billion percent chance of staggering the player; and also sometimes they are actually activating a synced countermove like when they shove you backwards, which supersedes your attack entirely.
After reading the description and looking through the script sources I'm kinda confused. Shouldn't the mod also account for the Iron Fist perk to increase unarmed damage? Unless it does and I'm not noticing something
blocked attacks always dealt damage? i don't think i ever noticed that in my 7 years of playing this game, in all of my playthroughs whenever i blocked or an enemy was blocking the damage was fully blocked
This looks great and I'm surprised it isn't getting more attention. Have you had the chance yet to see how this interacts with the 'Braced' limb armor mod?

I always play on Survival. On Survival, you only block 25% damage, which can be further enhanced by Cavalier's, Braced mods, etc.
In the non-survival game difficulties you do indeed block 100% damage (which also makes those legendaries completely useless, lmao)
So if you don't play on survival this mod does indeed add value and difficulty (and a reason to use those legendaries, heh).
